  • Was that the adjustment to align the julian and gregorian calendars???? Cos it happened a lot later in the UK than everywhere else - like 200 years or so and was finally done in April I vaguely recollect from history lessons.

  • I will add you to the scheduled flight path. πŸ¦πŸ¦πŸ“πŸ¦πŸ¦β°πŸ“ͺ

Please note that the pigeon may not be eaten for dinner. Even though squab as a meat is freakin' delicious - particularly when baked in clay in your campfire.

  • Then we will communicate by carrier pigeon. Written with a quill pen - not from the pigeon cos then it couldn't fly with no feathers. πŸ₯πŸ¦πŸ¦†πŸ¦‰πŸ“πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦…πŸ¦œπŸ¦šπŸ“

  • A word from an experienced bike commuter. Get your city end parking sorted first if taking the bike all the way. Most stations have bike cages now - these are easy and cheap and most have cctv and are somewhat protected from the weather, but not from fellow bike cage users. Battery theft (for ebikes) is becoming a real problem from bike cages so plan on removing the battery and taking it with you should you use this facility. Some bike cages have basic bike repair tools available nearby (inner city).

  • Thank you Chef. I particularly liked the third from the left. The second from the bottom needed anchovies for true perfection but was perfectly edible - even tasty. The top right hand one - delicious, certainly innovative, but was rhubarb really the wisest choice?

  • Bento box of 6 different pizza slices please. And ginger beer.

  • Ginger powder sounds wunnderful. Yep you can do a full body wrap of the basin with the knot on top, but string only also works. Any paper (not newspaper) will work for the cover if greased up with butter. Baking paper doesn't need greasing so much.

  • Got no argument on the recipie - it's very similar to the one I use. But. They left a lot out in terms of method. Feel free to ignore this if you already know the details.

  • Does she wear tight/fashionable/high heeled shoes? Was I wearing such, I'd wait a million years for a bus rather than walk and cripple myself. If, on the other hand, she wears comfy shoes - that's a different dynamic.

  • Heart goes out to you Racer. Navigating this will be a challenge for anyone. We are here for support and venting. There is still a chance that your mum will recover more than present situation too. Sending healing vibes.
You'll need to be there for your dad too - sounds like he might need someone to model how to be human/emotional too. Which is lot to ask but there's not a chance in hell that he'll seek outside professional advice methinks.

  • ABC news has a story that Alan Jones has been arrested on indecent assault charges spanning 20 years. About time.

  • It's the sort of comment that might have motivated him as a young man, and may be motivational for your twin, but definitely is not effective as a motivator for you. And as your parent he should have seen that a lot earlier.

  • 2-3 years until the viruses build up and kill them. They winter over just fine if you mulch them, or let Mother Nature do the mulching. Also, by the end of 2 years, all the local slugs & snails have them logged on their google maps so fruit quantity drops off dramatically unless you feel like being snailicidal.

  • Never ever eaten one. So I don't know. Judging by the packaging, it's not something I would spend money on.
