  • It's English english - and has migrated all over the world. Probably more common in USA as it's a fairly antique way to add emphasis and they've kept a lot of antique usages that English english hasn't kept.

  • I see your perforated ladle (far left of bottom drawer) and raise you a pair of herb scissors (surprisingly useful and a bit of a fave). Now if I can only find them under everything else ...

  • Ceremonial putting up of at least one shelf, or a single picture if you want the Clayton's option.

  • Impressed. Mine take up at least 2 drawers, and the least use stuff in a separate box in a cupboard.

  • Ow. Debating food is not nice at all. Hope you feel better soon.

  • Yep. Know it well. For a while, the State Revenue Office had it's customer service centre there (alas no longer extant). Went there a lot. Personally, I'd choose this spot to bury a few pharoahs for future reference.

  • Hope you feel better soon. Maybe do a RAT just to be sure if you haven't already.

  • Not really hungry rn. A grazing platter of amuses bouches please.

  • Loved this group back when I was a teen, but listening to them again recently - there's a creepy vibe about Peter. Not so much Paul and Mary. They could have made more use of Mary's glorious voice too. Kind of a strange feeling looking back on their career.

  • In my experience, appliances wait until all service personnel are on holiday to break down. Then they magically start working again as soon as the ultra-exxy emergency repair person sets foot in the house.

  • I think I'd like a vegemite lollipop and a fruit burger please.

  • Mine is 'chop chop!' With some emphasis. Next level down is 'Let's pronto this'.

  • That may be the saddest thing I've heard of all year.

  • Lovely! There will be enough to make lots and lots of potato roses for xmas dinner.

  • Can I please have all the potat that Force doesn't want.
