That made up number allows them to bend the ear of world leaders, to doom millions of people to poverty-related death, to take a joy-ride to space while their employees piss in bottles out of fear of losing their pitiful income.

You can try and diminish their wealth, but made up or not, those numbers are fucking the rest of us straight into hell.

Work any phone helpdesk job and you will be threatened six ways to Sunday by people who are upset over the most minor things.

Yes this incident came after very prominent consequences for an insurer in the US, but I would be hard pressed to believe that someone who works for a company that denies people lifesaving healthcare hasn’t heard worse.

The article talks about gushing blood and gruesome visuals as if CoD didn’t ask us to commit a terrorist attack in an airport 15 years ago. At least this game narrows your targets to IDF soldiers, according to the article.

Also, the game historically has had ~25 concurrent players at any given time. I don’t think this game is as important as certain people would want you to believe.

For inside hobbies there’s board game groups, tabletop roleplaying, TCGs (Magic, Pokemon). A lot of Local Game stores run events that don’t require you to know anyone to start. If you like cooking, there could be local classes or a short course run by a college that you could do.

More out of left field, I found that dancing introduces you to a lot of people. Lindy Hop (vintage swing dancing), Salsa, Bootscooting. Pick your poison and there is likely to be a dozen classes or social dances in your area. Not for everyone of course, but usually if someone goes out to dance they want to be social, so you’re bound to find someone to chat with.

Nothing will happen. I appreciate the optimism, but you’re kicking your acceptance further down the road. If they were actually going to hold the fucker to account, they’d have done more by now. At this point? Attempting to prosecute the president-elect just weeks before he steps into power to ‘save America’? That’s just giving the conspiracy nuts validation to start shooting.

You make a good point. I haven’t gone back to minecraft because I know there’s going to be more changes made in the imminent future, and I’d rather play a complete game. I picked up Stardew about a month before the Ginger Island update, so it really felt like a complete experience.

Was hoping for something a little more inspiring…

I don’t think it will ever fizzle out. It’s an amazing game with a simple premise.

I do worry that the desire to not let a game be done could lead to burnout from the audience though. I left minecraft behind because every update added less and less of substance, and asked me to come back and do something that didn’t really enhance the experience of my “completed” survival world.

I understand that minecraft has not slipped in popularity for the masses, but for me it’s enough of a pain that I don’t play any more.

Stardew Valley is great, and the updates we have received add a lot of content to the game, but it’s all stuff that makes an 11/10 game… still an 11/10. I would love the effort to go into Haunted Chocolatier, or other great projects.

If I make plans for a holiday, put down deposits on hotels, and print an itinerary for my time abroad, it’d be a bit pointless to “admit” I was going on holiday.

Is this news? They presented their plan to destroy America, and are going to implement it. What did people expect?
