  • It's okay, I appreciate that. I'm pretty used to it at this point; she's chronically late to everything

  • On Raccoon

Edit: And mobile browser, for easy comparison

  • There's always xcancel. Does that not solve most people's concern?

  • Therapists recommend limiting news consumption, seeking community support, and focusing on areas of personal control as ways to cope with these heightened political anxieties.

    My recommendations breaks rule 6

  • again, a deal with the devil is by definition, a rejection of God.

    Again, not inherently.

murder is on the list of unforgivable sins.

Literally King David himself is a stark example to the contrary. Paul too. Are you just saying things and hoping they're true? What do you think unforgivable means?

there are five or six places in the new testament alone that list unforgivable sins.

Care to cite the scripture you're referencing? I'm not aware of such passages. Regardless, if they do exist, I assume they're effectively overwritten by Jesus later doing the whole forgiving everyone's sins by dying thing

I'm not even religious anymore, I don't know why I'm so invested in this

  • You were banned 6 months ago, possibly in response to the comment that got removed shortly before the ban, which I decided to crop out

Have you tried messaging the mods?

  • there are a dozen listed sins that are unforgivable. You just have to look for them.

Both Matthew 12:30-32 and Mark 3:20-29 clearly state otherwise. Idk what Bible you're reading.

a deal with the devil is automatically considered blasphemy against God, and thus an unforgivable sin.

While making a deal with the devil is often viewed as a form of blasphemy, the unforgivable sin- blasphemy against the Holy Spirit- involves an ultimate rejection of God's truth and grace, which isn't necessarily inherent to making a deal with the devil.

Add in the sin of Pride, and Johnny is damned.

    Pride is a forgivable sin

  • Christianity's whole thing is that no sin is unforgivable (except deliberate rejection of the Holy Spirit's work/testimony about Jesus (Mark 3:20-28))

  • This format doesn't work on Eternity. Eternity >!does them like this!<. Does this way not work for people not on Eternity?

  • Usually the goal of saying that is simply to hurt your feelings and/or establish themselves as both above you and distinct from you

If it's said by someone you care about or have to regularly spend time around, it might be worth addressing, though otherwise it's probably best to ignore/block

If it's the former, deciding how to address it requires first identifying your priorities between:

    • maintaining the relationship
    • maintaining your dignity/self respect
    • achieving an objective

There's a DBT worksheet series for this that I've used a lot, personally, and have found super helpful

  • I used Signal for virtual sessions during the pandemic (the law allowed it then), and I would absolutely pay them monthly if I could switch back. I even thought about emailing them to ask about a BAA- as far as I know, their model means that it's only paperwork that has to be done to call it hipaa compliant

  • I thought it was gonna be like a controlled image-to-image genai thing but it's actually way cooler

Edit: lots of other cool tools on here too https://inkei.net/menu/

  • Ofc! It's called the modlog, and it's usually accessible via the footer of every instance, or by appending /modlog to an instance's URL, e.g. https://hexbear.net/modlog
