  • Did anyone else take a look at the sky and wonder if Sunday's promised rain was going to arrive a bit early? Rain on Sunday now at 90% chance.

  • Hush, don't tell the kids and they'll never know.

  • I rely on tramstop adverts - not being a movie person.

  • Yumm! I'll have one of those, and one of those and one of those ...

  • friday quiz

7/10 haven't been following golf or politics and it shows

  • I think that space is where the fridge is supposed to go. Judging by the placing of the power point at eye level to the left of the shelving. And that's a crappy place to put the fridge too as opening the door is going to impact on the peninsula. I only hope that the view provided has been snapped with a fish eye lens and the angles are not quite as bad as they look.

  • This is a kitchen for ubereats and takeaway. God forbid that the kitchen should intrude on the really important rooms. It's been tucked into the leftover space on the floor plan. The door next to the stove - is that to a cupboard or an exit? Because if it's an exit then this is a passage with a stove in it. The drawers MIGHT be on swivels so they open sideways, but I doubt it. If this were mine, I'd take an axe to the peninsula thingie and replace it with a moveable island. Then it's more workable if not exactly good.

  • Yeeeess. Just the classics - chess, backgammon, cribbage, mahjong and ordinary cards. Oh, and Squatter (inherited from siblings - dates back to the 1970s). Zillions of jigsaws as I like doing these and have good lighting over the jigsaw table so can be done after dark.

  • Yeah, something to aspire to. Her and Cornelius just fill me with awe.

  • Riiight. Peter Mac appointment has confirmed that I am alive and likely to stay that way. Flu vaccine and shingles vaccine accomplished. Lamb chops for dins with potato mash & veg stir fry purchased. Time to veg out until time to cook dins dins. Or maybe YT & chill.

  • Japanese house boy. No contest.

  • Note to self. When plugging in one's phone to charge up, it helps to turn the charger on. Didn't notice for hours. Another 20 mins to go before it's fully cooked.

  • Far too expensive for mass market. Mostly used in the perfume industry as a fixative. If you've ever bought Red Door, Opium or Chanel No.5 you've caused the death of many beavers. Cheap vanilla substitute is brewed from pine bark. Also natural.

  • Asparagus lightly stir fried with butter, garlic & lemon please chef. And a croissant.
