He's referencing a legitimate talking point about birth control, and in that light his comment made perfect sense. The whole second half of this thread reads like you got whooshed and then double downed after you realized what happened.

Any chance they'll become fully interoperable? I mean, besides the standard fediverse account stuff. Ideally, being able to scroll my All feed on piefed and seeing Lemmy posts in there. I just don't want to go back to a ghost town like the Lemmy of 2 years ago.

That behavior is almost completely dictated by where you live. The safest speed to go while driving is the speed at which the majority of people around you are driving. In my city, that happens to be at least 10 mph above the speed limit.

I don't think that's what they're saying. There are countless pieces of Nazi propaganda that were taken as fact at some point in the intervening 80 years. Famously, the number of people killed in the Dresden bombing was hugely inflated by the Nazis to smear the Allies, and those numbers were accepted for a very long time.
