  • Thank you for the sanity check! I started reading it, and it was just rambling on, flourished with scenarios that didn't seem to relate to the already vague title.

  • He doesn't know what almost anything really is, despite all the bullshit he spouts. He's the human embodiment of the Dunning Kruger effect.

  • Peace deals are great and everything. But at this point, with Russia's proven record of reneging on agreements and general fuckery, the primary focus should be on protecting Ukraine, Poland, etc without any cooperation from the US, and ramping up resources and military expertise for Ukraine.

I would say getting Ukraine into NATO should be a massive priority too, but that's dead in the water with Trump effectively having veto power. So if anything it's time to accept that NATO as we know it is dead, and to form a replacement organization featuring Europe (including the UK), Canada, and maybe Mexico.

  • Oh hell no! I might begrudgingly take a stab at it, but I'd throw my hands up and say "fuck it!" within about 6 hours.

  • Can't have those ignorant young'uns voting! Ignorant voting is only for older folks!

  • Trolling it is then. Okay I'm done here. This is a waste of time.

  • Good grief, I was not making fun of them. I feel like there's either some trolling or some sort of a reading comprehension deficit going on here. And judging by the comment scores, I'm not alone in that suspicion.

  • I was being sarcastic. I didn't think the /s was necessary. But apparently I was wrong.

  • But seniors should establish their own retirement plans beyond Social Security to ensure sufficient living funds, Cirksena said. "For retirees, the key takeaway is this: Social Security will change, but if you have a strong retirement plan that doesn't rely on it entirely, you won't be left scrambling."

Yeah, the people who are no longer working and who probably can't find a job even if they wanted to should just establish their own retirement fund now. Presumably with all that money they pull from the magical money tree.

Should people be establishing their own retirement plan before that point? Definitely. But what about the people who work hard for shitty employers who stiff them because they couldn't find a better job elsewhere? I guess just fuck them, or something. /s

    Edit: Added a /s

  • Amusing that his Twitter avatar looks like a black hole, considering that's where his abject incompetence is sucking the national infrastructure (and all of us) into.

On this latest debacle: Great idea Musk! Fire a bunch of people from an already stressed-out agency, then watch as a string of accidents happen, and then publication beg for retired controllers to come back.

Pushing tin is an incredibly stressful and intense job. Those who retired are probably a) no longer capable of dealing with that stress, and/or b) don't want to deal with it and deserve a well-earned retirement.

But hey, maybe with all the bullshit stripping away of social security, Medicare, etc etc, they will be forced to come out of retirement to help. I'm sure that's not a recipe for disaster!

For fuck's sake, we live in the stupidest timeline, I swear. And we can't even fully enjoy Musk ruining his ill-deserved legacy and humiliating himself, because all of us are the collateral damage.

  • I went to it on the Okay Store and uninstalled it. It didn't commission and so far all phone functionality is working funny. It seems like an addon that's not tightly bound to core OS components.

  • Well, there goes one of the few advantages Bing had over Google or some other search engines. Impressive of them to commit even more to being a meme. I didn't think they could commit any further than they already had.

  • "When your brother's date shoots his load at your sugar daddy."

  • I'm going to hazard a guess that if they had been hating on trans people and culture, or promoting conservative values, in that work chat tool then they would still have jobs.

  • There's probably a lot of repression going on inside her mind. She's a self-hating woman because of you're female and want to work for this administration that inevitably factors in. Then these probably all the racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia layered on top of that.

ETA: Then there's the impending push to disenfranchise conservative women, which she might be angry about. (although this, yet again, falls into the "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" category.)

  • If nothing else, this whole situation is a very revealing about which Democrat politicians have proverbial balls, which ones have their balls in the clamp (probably for doing embarrassing stuff), and which ones have no proverbial balls at all.

So far only AOC, Sanders, Pritzker, and a handful of others are showing they have the guts to stand up on the bullshit the administration is pulling.

  • Cool, okay. Well let's all make a brand new party with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the new party.

  • Would be nice if the Democrat politicians could pull their proverbial fingers out and start soaking up en masse. Seems like right now only a few have really stepped up. This is their chance to redefine themselves to be useful activists.

Failing that, a new and very vocal movement/party to actively oppose the GOP needs to emerge. (Though I am fully aware of how difficult it is for new party's to emerge in the American political system.)
