It's already predicted that we would live as species in the artic circles as that's the only area still inhabitable with the prospected 3-4C temp rise. (as long as it's high enough) I'm not sure if I'd want to live to see that happen.
Thanks for your answer... the FairPhone was already on the wishlist, and it's supported. Time to ditch Samsung I guess. (I use Smasung Tablets with Lineage, phone isa Nokia with Lineage as well)
CalyxOS is a tad limited on the hardware support though.
Thankfully technology is bailing us out even though we don’t deserve it.
Somehow I get the feeling it's already to late for that. The Amazon is already in a bad state and they're discovering the temp at which leaves die and won't recover is even lower then they expected. AT this moment we're having to much freak issues that science couldn't predict (it's worse then they thought) and as species we're more concerned on killing ourselves then fixing problems we created.
I think nature is pretty fast solving the main cause of the issues. Nature will survive, I just hope that the next dominant species is a tad more brighter. (and that it will take a few decades more)
Yep. I even have some apks still available that aren't available in the store anymore. Alas the data is the biggest issue now in Android 13 though. When it's restored most apps just refuse to start. Time to dive more into this before putting a report in to the developer.
I brush before the shower, as usually my wife is in the shower then. She brushes after her shower, when I'm in there. BTW we both do that after breakfast.
Brushing before breakfast can be done against the morning smell, but when you brushed before going to bad, there shouldn't be anything on or between your teeth.
only uBlock active: 100% (ghostery still reports trackers)
Vivaldi Max blocking, no add-ons: 53%
Vivaldi max blocking + Ghostery: 93%
All max blocing and on: 100% (same as just uBlock)
uBlock reports 144 blocked
Ghostery reports 53 blocked
Even with only uBlock I get a report of 144 blocked ads (96%) with 150 tests and the site showing 100% score Interesting.
It's a nice test site, but I think I can conclude in my setup that uBlock is the best blocker, but a combination of Vivaldi's settings and uBlock is a minimum. No clue if ghostery ads anything, but the site won't test everything as it's impossible to do that in the ad war we're in.
Developer options, 'activate terminal' and when rooted you can switch to root with su. That is an alternative when you use 'adb shell' to get rid of the bloatware.
I'm using Titanium Backup (for more then 10y now) on my rooted/custom rom to freeze or uninstall system apps (so I don't know any other method). Main use of the app is full backups though, including apk. (so I had it registered with a license file purchased, so I can use it even on devices without google store)
When you have nothing else running in that work profile, it's can't snoop on it.
On the other hand, you have the phone with you, so privacy is already out of the window. ;) Also, as I guess you use google app store to install your apps in the main profile as well, google just gets 2 devices to track, 1 with waze, 1 with the rest.
When you don't want google to track you, you either have to go FOSS all the way or switch to Apple (and be tracked by them). No clue if there is an alternative for waze on the reports part. The waze user reports depends on those users reporting to google, thus being tracked.
Depends, do you want that person to be able to have a partner, kids and something to eat? If no then yeah, probably.
At this moment in The Netherlands:
starter: forget buying one (you need to bring loads and the student loan that wouldn't impact your chances on a mortage, guess what, it does)
unemployed or on benefit, social letting (waiting time for a place to live mesured in decades)
earning more then minimum wage: free letting market, costs about half your income (you won't get a mortage when it would cost you more then a 3rd)
Oh, and there is a huge shortage and building has dropped to less then 10% of what is needed, due to inflation.
The only way hiusing is affordable is when you already live in a bought house and have been living there for about 15+ year. (Bought mine in 2000, before the prizes exploded and after that the mortage rates exploded)
Either the income needs to improve a lot (with constant prizes and rates), or the prizes need to collaps (when that happens nobody will move, to expensive)
