  • They’d rather stick with the de facto racist shit they’ve been putting aboriginals through obviously. After all, creating an advisory body to address issues of racism is obviously itself racist.

If you’re completely captured by punditry and manipulation that is.

  • What’s my position? That Biden hadn’t seen it when someone claimed he had. So I don’t need to change shit.

Although a press outfit with a long history of backing right wing Israeli positions is far from an independent confirmation so even if my argument was that this is war time propaganda you’ve done nothing to definitively disprove that position.

  • It would be gone if Israel didn’t care about the geopolitical pr associated with such an action. Now that right wingers have funded and egged on the extremists enough, the militants are giving the war mongers in the Israeli government the perfect causus belli to get the result they want while posturing as the good guys.

This isn’t even a modern tactic. Rome got the Samnites to declare war in the 400s BC by setting up settler colonies in Samnite territory then rushing in to defend their citizens when Samnite warriors went to defend their territory.

Much like Rome, right wing Israeli politicians are bloodthirsty expansionists while still having the sociopathic gall to hide their barbarism behind decorum.

  • You accuse others of childish banality yet the only condescending jackass in this discussion is you as you lob insults and talk down to people.

News flash, walkable cities and public transit are better for disabled people than cars. Have a person in a wheel chair try to drive a car. Lets a blind person peel out on a motorcycle why don’t you you dipshit? Know how easy it is for a paraplegic to use a subway? They take a ramp or elevator down then roll on and off the cars as they please. Know how a blind person can get around without needing a friend with a car? They can make their way to a bus station where they can be taken across town.

Oh and finally, a “car ban”? Who mentioned flatly banning cars you disingenuous idiot? We want to design infrastructure for more than just cars, not ban them.

One way to come across as childishly banal and negative is to rant at someone for how bad of a person they are because of your own idiotic assumptions about their position.

You’re an insanely unserious person so log off and look into what people are actually advocating for instead of swallowing gallons of bullshit from people that know better. It’s unbecoming of someone with your smug sense of superiority.

  • You know the issues you’re bringing up aren’t caused by public transit, right? You’re so emotional over this and tear down the idea of public transit instead of giving a shit about mental healthcare in your country.

So now neither issue is solved, interesting perspective. You ever consider that traffic might be better for people like you who are deathly afraid of interacting with others if more people use public transportation?

Because no one’s talked about forcing you on a bus or flatly banning the existence of cars. You’re latching onto a hyper exaggerated scenario so you can act hysterical while feeling justified. You aren’t, you just have a small mind that’s easily manipulated into being against your own best interests.

As it stands now everyone needs to invest thousands of dollars to acquire and maintain something that is essentially required to participate in modern society. If you like doing that then more power to you, but everyone else just wants to have a choice.

  • No one’s blaming the citizens that were killed. A better analogy would be that staff at a club were made aware of a predator on the premises and allowed them to victimize someone.

We’re also talking about a political party that literally funded Hamas at its inception to ensure it was more successful than the moderate coalition.

  • A lot of them already have a sizable refugee population actually. They can’t fit a whole other country’s worth of people along with their own.

Beyond that, I bet you’d turn out similarly if you grew up in an open air prison where a terrorist group took power before you were even born. And if you did turn out to be not an angel, I’d still advocate for your humane treatment.

  • They’ve been in the wrong for over 20 years. Celebrating getting back pats for stating the obvious isn’t that useful. Another area where context vastly improves the quality of a discussion.

  • Mindless assumption that assumes the worst, not surprised but speculation doesn’t strengthen an argument.

I also haven’t absolved any terrorist of their disgusting actions. And beyond religious indoctrination you should consider general political indoctrination too.

Final point, context is always important if you want a solution that involves justice. If you start disregarding context you can make literally anything okay with the right framing. If you disregard the context of Hamas attacking, Israel’s current policies would seem even more extreme. If you ignore the murders committed by the Israeli military s as king other actions, the recent Hamas attack seems even more drastic than it already is and portrays it as more random of an occurrence than it actually is.

Arguing against needing context is arguing for ignorance.
