  • So what are the chances DeSantis did plan a meeting with Biden specifically so he could shoot him down in public?

I'd bet my money on it.

  • Considering they almost seem to be above the actual laws that are meant to hold them to account, then the only way to even remotely hold them to account becomes the public.

Aa such they absolutely need to be recognised for what they say, what they do, and what impact they have on the lives of the people.

If they don't like the consequences of their decisions, then maybe they should consider those decisions more wisely. Perhaps as supposed public servants, they should actual serve the public rather than their bank accounts.

  • If the GOP didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any at all.

They go on and on about the first amendment, moan about private businesses even treading near to their first amendment right, but yet they're more than happy to curbstomp everybody else's they disagree with. Dirty bigoted hypocrites.

  • Why go for first, when you can go for last in everything instead

  • If this were any other country complaining about illegal land grabbing, I'd be sympathetic to their plight, but Russia is literally in the middle of a war caused by their own illegal land grabbing. They can get fucked

  • CoD wouldn't be CoD without some squeaker with a crappy mic telling me they fucked my Mum last night, or that their Dad works at Microsoft and will get me banned

  • It may be prison, but those inmates are still human.

Even death row inmates get to die in less cruel ways than being effectively boiled alive.

Their punishment was their isolation from society and its luxuries, any further suffering purposefully/neglectfully introduced by the prison is cruel and unnecessary.

  • Are you reading what @tallwookie wrote properly?

1 ton ≈ 2000 pounds, so 5 million tons would be 10 billion pounds

  • Whether you like it or not people are going to carry resentment towards the Russians, as it's their government that is over in Ukraine literally committing war crimes.

It's the irony of Russians complaining when Ukraine does even an iota of punching back that frustrates people.

  • It's kinda sad how misinformed many Russians are about what their state is up in Ukraine, and act like Ukraine has no right to fight back

  • Focusing in on the Trump campaign would just detract from their main audience, so they might as well leave it be. Everybody knows what's going on with him anyways

  • Exactly. Linus seems to interpret their conversation as though Billet were going to let them keep it forever.

It seemed to me much more like, "We don't urgently need this back, so feel free to run more tests if you want"

Which turned into, "Oh, you shit all over our product and refuse to do more testing? Can we get it back then please?"

  • This same BS headline happens every generation. As soon as any small trends form, the media latch onto it like it's gonna be the next big thing...

No, feature phones aren't gaining mass adoption again. No, feature phones aren't going to kill smartphones. It's just a subset of people deciding to downgrade, or who want to buy a secondary phone.

  • "Poor review" is putting it lightly after how dirty they did that card. They probably wanted it back to give to someone to do an actual, fair review of.

Also, they were told they could keep it for further testing, but not that they could keep it forever or as a gift. That LTT auctioned the prototype that definitely still belonged to Billet Labs was plain irresponsible.

  • Considering that the article itself states that an estimated 30% of horseshoe crabs die during the procedure, before even accounting for post-release deaths due to any trauma, I think you might be onto something.

Who would've known draining 60% of a horseshoe crab's blood would cause some of them to become fucked up. If you drained 60% of a person's blood, I'd reckon the same thing would happen.

  • Trump is a con man who has spent his entire life weaselling his way around the law while exploiting every "loophole" he can to make money. I don't think he's above attempting to weasel out of this proceeding either, and I'd rather his SS detail who've already proven themselves liable to his tricks, to not be the ones responsible for keeping him from doing that. The best way to do that would've been to not allow bail and keep him locked up until he answers for his actions

  • Oh, I'm not American, I'm just very familiar with American politics due to being terminally online.

But I agree. Many Americans worship their president like a king, which is odd since America's whole idea was meant to be to bin off the monarchy.

We're just lucky that this kind of president/politician worshipping hasn't quite become mainstream in Europe yet.

  • Not everyone is ready to abandon the horseshoe crab protein. “We’re pleased to see that the USP is considering the proposal," lt;... However, these alternatives “may not be suitable for all products produced by the biopharmaceutical industry.”

Well I'd best check who said this to make sure they're not biased...

Nora Blair, a senior manager at Charles Rivers Laboratories, a leading source of LAL.

    Of course...

You mean to tell me the only person they could find sceptical enough of the alternative drug tests to comment was a person who has direct ties to the manufacturing of the primary drug test?? It's almost like their job depends on them being sceptical!

  • If he wants to be supreme leader of Mars, he can be so... outside the colony station... without a space suit.

  • Considering how hard it was just to land Trump even close to jail, allowing him free on bail is crazy.

Are they really trusting his SS detail to keep him tied down? Considering they've already broken the law for him by deleting key text messages regarding the Jan 6th event, it's a fool's errand to assume they won't do it again.

His wrinkly ass deserves to be locked up, and to stay locked up for his actions.
