You think your internet addiction is rough? You kids these days with your just 1 personality that is addicted to the Internet... Back in my day if you had multiple personalities they all had different interests and did different things. They didn't communicate and often didn't even know each other existed. Now they all just sit around on the internet and argue with each other. They can't even be bothered to make their own accounts.
I think you are grossly overestimating the audience of this author. They are a "self published" author whose books are free and not read by many people.
If anything, she will see a massive spike in readers just because of curious people checking her out.
I mean, I get what you're saying, but then there's one little issue...
Even if we completely ignore the overhead involved in buying and selling property, moving is expensive, stressful and completely upends your life. Expecting new parents to move every time they need more room, or even worse, forcing grieving parents to move because no longer "need" the space is ridiculous. If we aren't complete monsters about people only having exactly the amount of space that they need at any given moment means that there will have to be a number of people with surplus space at any given moment. And at any given moment there will also be a number of people who need a place to stay, but may not plan on staying in that one place long enough to make it worth "buying" somewhere to live. So, I don't see how you can stop people from letting others who need a place to live from living with them. So landlords have always existed and always will.
On the same note there's no way to stop 2 people with similar goals from helping each other, so companies will also exist whether you want them to or not.
You are correct, our privileges and opportunities have to be paid for. Things like governments, taxes, companies, and landlords have to exist. Even insurance is a great thing. The problem right now is how all of that is currently implemented in the US.
People do fear for their lives. Get sick and your entire family can end up homeless. Cops are murdering innocent people left and right. People are working multiple jobs and still starving. They are living out of their cars, so they do not have easy access to clean water, baths, clean clothes, ECT. All while, the very government we are all paying to protect us has been taken over by people looking to use it against us.
It looks like people think you are right.
Now what's our down vote goal if we think you are far right?
Can we stop trying to rename things, it's not a long pipe, or danger pipe, it's just a snake.
But they are not afraid of children dying, that's totally fine. They're afraid their kids might become "weird". Because that is how they see autism, as being weird.
And as everybody knows weird is literally worse than death.
Ok, I get it now.
If I ignore the tattoo, it could be a forearm, but who the fuck is supposed to be reading it if it is a forearm? The only way it would make any sense is if you only cared about people reading it while you were doing pullups, otherwise it's always upside down or facing backwards.
Someone built a shortcut to a job hunting site into the OS itself. Someone who works on the OS and for the company that made the OS. I can't think of any greater advertisement that working for Microsoft is awful than the cry for help that is building a permanent link to a job hunting website.
Me 30yrs ago: Solid wood? Are we calling 50% sawdust and binder "solid wood"? Lol...
Me now: it has like real wood mixed in, like from an actual tree? WTF, I that is way out of my league...
It sounds like you are not in the US, so the best I can do is give you some suggestions that are available to me and hopefully they are not too far off for you...
A small 5000btu window AC are really cheap here, and are typically less than 40lbs (18kg). So you probably won't want to pull it out of the window daily, but you could probably lug it into position at the beginning of the season, and then take it out at the end of the season.
Portable ACs typically cost a bit more but are much more mobile. They are typically heavier than comparable window ACs, but they are on wheels and the exhaust tube is light and can be put in taken out of the window on demand. Ones with both an intake and exhaust tube are much more efficient, but they are a lot harder to find (at least around here) and more expensive. The ones with just an exhaust tube do work though, however you should judge it's cooling by half of whatever it says. So if it says it is a 10,000 BTU then it will perform more like a 5000 BTU. If you wrap the hot exhaust tube in a blanket or some other form of insulation you will see a significant improvement in cooling. Also the exhaust tubes are only about 5 to 6 inches (130-150mm) in diameter, so they can be routed through holes holes smaller than windows. On the side of my garage there's a hole in the brick where they routed wires and other stuff to the exterior. I was able to cut a hole in the sheetrock on the inside of my garage directly opposite of that hole through the brick. I was then able to route the exhaust from my portable AC through that hole and it blows out through theme opening in the brick. Or maybe you could have the portable AC tube routed to an exhaust in another room but have the AC positioned to blow into your office
Despite what others have said swamp coolers do work, even somewhere like where I live where the typical humidity outside is 75 to 95%. But the higher humidity the less positive effect they have. So they definitely fall into the "better than nothing" category. And of course the big downside is it is going to increase the humidity. If your windows are closed, that could cause problems. But my guess is that you have your windows open, so a lot of the humidity is going to make its way out with normal breezes anyways.
If all else fails Matthias has a great video on how to best position a fan to get the most airflow out a window.
Look at that low US gravity, no wonder we're so fat. And then there's Australia and New Zealand over there breeding the next evolution of super humans.
But most of all, wtf is going on in the Indian Ocean? Does shit just randomly launch into space sometimes?
It was a bad day for America when schools stopped teaching home ec. We once had a friend live with us for a couple months who cooked eggs in a Saucier (sauce pan) full of oil. She kept the pan on the stove and every morning she would reheat the oil and essentially poach 2 eggs in a half a gallon of oil.
Dehumidifiers are air-conditioners... Like literally. So, you would be running a swamp cooler to cool the room by adding humidity, but because dehumidifiers produce excess heat, you would then be adding heat to dehumidify...
Meteor or golden? I hate to nag, but the preparations of either one differ a little.
That's because you view things like this as isolated acts done by a few people. But don't forget, only 1/3 of US voters tried to stop a man who openly declared himself a fascist, had already had a direct hand in the spread of a world wide plague that killed millions.
The "they didn't know what they were getting into" excuse is no longer valid. And yet 2/3 of voters were fine with him being reelected .
The reason those people weren't dragged from their mansions and beaten to death was because of all the other monsters who were protecting them. The people who weren't committing atrocities themselves, but benefited from it enough to help it keep happening.
