It is going to be a slow rollout. It might take years to build a substantial user base. Apple will need to bring the price down to iPhone territory.

Edit: if I was Netflix I would still put a small team on making a proper app. I believe apple will persist in this market until it works.

True. But I know a lot of people that have paid off their house and or car. This is an average.

Worlds of Fun here in KC does this too. Kids can enter, but the do not recommend they stay after dark. They have a parade, have entire areas that are outdoor haunted houses, and send people running through the crowd to scare them. It is a lot of fun. Most of these regional parks are all owned by the same company (Six Flags, IIRC).

You are both correct. They do stop things that would be ok, on say, a windows machine. For example, intercepting text messages at the system level. It prevents a lot of mischief but also stops legitimate software.

But we can already look at the Android market for guidance on what will happen. Few Android users venture out of the official store. It will take a large company with must-have apps to get people to go to another marketplace. Like Steam, Epic, or Facebook. Companies that either want to keep their cut or want to collect data to sell. This will likely not matter at all for small developers. They don’t have the clout.

Logically, the heat used for drying should kill any germs. But why risk it.

I rinse mine in the toilet bowl when it has bleach based toilet cleaner in it. That alone keeps them pretty clean.

We usually fly AA on flights to Europe. We live near KC, so our choices are AA or United (IIRC). And we prefer AA’s time schedule. Outside of major cities there is little choice to many destinations.

Those taking first class are often traveling on a company’s dime or using credit card points.

Cars actually make more sense in low density areas. Farmers need to get around. Urban areas should rely mostly on public transportation.

The computers actually make them easier to work on. They monitor and throw codes when things go wrong. A Google search will usually give a list of probable causes. I have troubleshooted and replaced some unusual parts because of that ability (e.g. shift position sensor). And the computers rarely fail themself.

I live by nearly the same rules. No more than 3 years max, and a check in my pocket from my credit union. But I not afraid to go older if the vehicle is on hood shape and reasonably low mileage. Vehicles depreciate for age, condition, and mileage. I will take the savings of a 5-7 year vehicle if the condition and mileage are great. But they are hard to find, it often takes a couple months of looking.

The taxes from dense cities cover maintenance for suburbs. They are subsidizing them. There are neat 3D tax maps that demonstrate this (that I can’t seem to find).

Florida, of all states, created this. There are requirements to use it, but for many it is their only real option.
