This one actually makes sense.

Mac laptops are the best hardware, but the majority of business’ will always go the cheapest route. DOS won against macs before windows existed. With most programs going web based, a polished Linux distro would win today.

I have an old 2011 17” MBP (that still works great) and a new 15” MacBook Air. The 15” is a lot smaller than the 17”. A 20” with todays thin bezels would probably be close in size to that old 17”.

Wild. Each time is milder for me. Only the first was really bad. Also vaxed and boosted.

Overblown. Thermally they are the best laptops. The only way to get better thermally is to move to a non-laptop.

Apple because I have an iPhone. Garmin makes good stuff, though.

If you are financially able, use a credit card instead of a debit card. I do realize that only makes sense if you are able to pay it off every month, and when we were younger that was impossible. But maybe get one to only use online?

Luckily we knew a pc password that let us get to their email. From there we reset the password.

Great point, but if they were struggling to find mods before the meltdown it does not bode well.

I follow a sports team sub. On most days we discuss players, teams, etc. But on game day a mob of rowdy people stop by. The game threads get several posts a minute. I cannot image trying to police that while trying to watch the game.

Los Alamos is worth a visit. The lab is locked down (a road goes through it, you are not supposed to take pictures), but there are a couple really neat museums. One of the retired age volunteers at the museum asked us how deep of a discussion we wanted. He went down a deeep rabbit hole of chemistry and mechanical bomb design. It was obvious he had strong knowledge of how atom bombs worked. It was glorious. And the boys boarding school is also neat.

They do, but most kids don’t have them.

They will likely remove FaceTime and iMessage, not exit the market entirely. But on a worldwide scale the UK is a small market. China and EU are far more important to Apple.

I have never really enjoyed alcohol. If I’m at a social event and someone hands me a beer I’ll drink it. Or, if I’m in 500 year old pub in London I’ll order one. But the last beer I brought home my wife cooked with after it sat in the fridge for months. And I have never let myself get drunk.
