Nope Trump proved yet again the US is a Russian puppet today earlier in the week Ukraine destroyed a huge Russian Oil plant. Now a few days later Trump is giving them a Ceasefire against energy targets which Putin supposedly broke just a mere 3 hours later.

If anything this proves two things Ukraine really hurt them with that attack and Trump is again proving he's Putins lapdog and acting outright against Ukraine and Europe.

Actually saw some combat footage of that Ukraine attack and it looked almost like a nuke, from what I remember it's a 1000km ranged missile called Neptune.

I tried to use Bookwyrm for a while but ended up having to add nearly every single book manually looking up isbn codes finding cover links etc.

Just gave up on it after a while.

It's sad Palestine which is probably the worst thing happen ending in the world right now barely gets even a mention in the UK press.

I'd try and join one of the two European projects for a sixth gen fighter the main ones being Bae (Tempest) or Dassault/Airbus (FCAS).

Don't think that will happen with the Tempest program being the main focus for the raf but if they could make a carrier capable tranche version it could be a good stopgap.

Have to be honest I'm not keen on the UK buying any more either I'd rather see Rafales on the new carriers or a tweaked eurofighter.

I don't like that Britain is buying American jets and that our subs are designed for US nukes. We can do both ourselves and we were once very good at it.

Maybe the Tempest project should be sped up considerably and we should be working on our own warheads at the very least.

I tried that recently on the Gemini 2.0 flash and it got it wildly wrong as well. Seems strange AI seems to struggle with it.

Honestly if you aren't prepared to take advantage of modern tech I pity you, I do think Chat Gpt is a total waste of resources as far as energy etc but I'm going to take advantage of it while it exists.

Honestly it's kinda fun to play with you can ask it for cross over plots between shows, to make raps etc or ask it to show certain images in realistic HD. It's fun to toy with though I do think it probably shouldnt exist, that said I'm taking advantage while these companies are wasting massive resources on it.

To be honest I've never bought into the whole cloud music thing, at the minute I've most of my storage taken up by music and TV on my phone.

I use Neutron music player for music and for video a mix of Stremio and mx player pro.

I noticed a weird garbled screen yesterday on the login page only, my main lemmy instance was down for a while so I went to add my backup.

Basically I jumped to a password manager quickly and when I went to paste it into the connect login box it went wacky.

Not a huge deal but yeah couldn't read a thing but still managed to proceed.

Edit: did it again just out of curiosity, yeah gives me a garbled login screen every time and I experimented a bit. (to me it's not the end of the world as it really seems to only affect me on the login page I tried similar antics on other screens but never had an issue).

Edit: About a week later and I've noticed this now on other screens if you app switch for a second. If I moved to a browser or something now I would just see weird characters when I switch back.

I don't recall asking for your opinion. It's a bit hypocritical posting on social media telling people not to post on social media.

I replied because nobody was helping him and there's an easy solution. Didn't know r/books was now back in the dark ages to be fair.

Well how else are you going to sort a list of about 30 books to decide which are worth time or not. The guy had bought an anthology of every Alien/Aliens novel and was complaining a lot of the books in it were really bad and wanted help knowing which ones are actually worth reading.

I just reply to things that show up my feed honestly and pretty randomly in fact that's why I've posted here as well.
