  • I still use my Gmail account and proud to say that I will use it forever. Even though Google have gone to the dark side, I will keep my Gmail mainly because my email address was created way back before they forbid anyone having a strange sounding email address. My email address is a relic from the olden fun days.

Great! As much as I love DDG, Google is unfortunately still superior and I had no choice but to suck it up and use the latter from time to time. If I could use Google by way of proxy to preserve privacy, then this is great news!

  • As someone with limited knowledge of Canadian politics, who is Doug Ford? If he isn't the prime minister, how does he have significant power and influence to go against the US?

Also, if he is that powerful, he can teach us how to!

  • I am by no means expert on the topic but I am also in the same situation as you. If your job is a 12-hour shift pattern, that means you have 3-4 days off in one week. Use those days to cook food and do meal prep for your job, and also to eat as much as you could. Eat food high in proteins and calories. Chicken is the usual go-to meat because it is low on salt and fat, but high on protein and calories. Lean beef is also great. Moreover, it is also important to eat fruits and vegetables to provide nutrients that amplify the muscle intake of proteins, such as spinach, quinoa, lentils, avocado, banana etc.

If you are really skinny though, you have a licence to eat. You could "dirty bulk" by eating as much junk foods as possible to accelerate the weight and muscle gains.

Again, I am no expert but these are what I had been advised and researched on. You should find more information on the Internet.

  • President Muskrate is an accelerationist; who believes that societal collapse should come sooner rather than later. Some speculate that his plan is to capitalise on burgeoning AI along with the billionaire class to control people once the dust settles.

  • Another difference is that Bernie's policies are "radical", something which disenfranchised voters really want in the face of growing inequality. With Kamala, her policies is about status quo and her platform is not that appealing, as someone like me looking at American politics from the outside. People are living pay check to pay check, struggling with student loans, facing out of control rent, and unable to afford medical bills and buy a house. More leftist policies such as medicare for all, increasing minimum wage and building affordable housing will alleviate the economic pressure on many ordinary Americans. Trump promised tax cuts and to reshore companies, which many Americans thought is a better deal in spite of other baggages from Trump.

  • Both leading Canadian parties are not going to allow it, they are still both economically conservative. The last 14 years of Liberal Party rule allowed for housing crisis to spiral out of control because both wealthy liberals and conservatives benefit from it. So, why would they even allow to tax the wealthy more? Canadians have the same duopoly problem as the US, as well as having the same oligarchy problem.

  • My parents thought having a degree alone will land you a job. By the time I graduated, the paradigm had shifted and interviewers are asking if I had any previous work experience to prove that I have good work ethic. Problem is, growing up, my parents never allowed me to work so I never had anything to show for. Even after graduation, they advised me against getting any jobs "underneath" me. It took awhile before I went against my parents advise and finally getting a job related to my degree. The trails of bad advise did not even stop at job-seeking but that will be another long story.

In any case, I realised that my parents are a bunch of insecure nouveau riche (they grew up poor and I can sense they have hint of elitism now that they moved up the socioeconomic ladder) who did not set me up for life well. I told myself I won't listen to them and rail against them giving me any more advise. I think they realised their mistakes a bit too late now.

    Edit: a word

  • The pandemic had been a bane to my personal life. But on the one hand, it forced me to stay with my folks for a little while and it proved to be smart in hindsight because I made huge savings before finally moving out of home.

  • Well, that's why Western right wingers look to Japan. But the difference is that, Western right wingers are looking to regress back into the olden days when women were baby-churners, whereas I don't hear from Japan wanting the same (there are some but they are not significant enough to sway public opinion).
