  • So as of now it's none?

As of now. But there are some who are already making a push back and even Fox news are starting to question Trump. After all, Trump keeps flip flopping because obviously some are already expressing frustrations behind closed doors.

If the silly tariff threats goes on long enough, enough people will become overtly angry.

  • We can see how we can benefit from it, once most of the value it produces no longer ends in the owner class'es pocket.

Yup, indeed. Remember when social media was celebrated as what enabled bottom up revolution in the Middle East 1 ? Well, a lot of people forgot about that, since big brained profiteers realised they can commercial people's personal data and sell them to entities that will weaponise the innate dark insecurities of the people to influence public policies.

1 I am aware that the Arab Spring largely failed, but so did the Revolutions of 1848. In spite of failures, I believe that the ideas have been planted and will be nurtured for future generations to reap. Even though the liberal revolutions failed in Europe, the liberal values they tried to champion are now in place in Europe. I believe the same will happen in the Middle East but it will take generations to materialise.

  • If you are not getting what I am getting at...

    *insert Principal Skinner musing meme...

DNC: Am I not running on popular economic policies that would help alleviate the woes of young people deep in student debt; families living pay check to pay check; people saddled with hospital bills, and that's why we lost?

No, the electorate is misogynist. Latino and black voters are race traitors for voting Trump. And the white working class in Rust belt are hillbilly hicks who don't know what is better. And now let me look at my stocks if following Nancy Pelosi's portfolio is the right decision.

  • Obama had solid policies and in touch with everyday folks. Obama has charisma and implemented needed reforms acceptable for the time. Both Harris and Clinton are seen as part of the establishment with weak policies.

I would have voted for Harris if I am an American simply because he is not Trump, but one has to admit that Harris' policies had been weak. She also did not have a coherent message, simply because she was a last minute replacement for Biden. She was simply mirroring Biden. That said, Harris ran on the platform of status quo while Americans have been looking for change.

  • its way more simple than this, america is not ready to elect a woman--let alone a brown woman, to lead the country.

This is a cope from DNC since Hillary. Americans are more accepting than they are actually given credit for. Many Republican voters actually even appreciate Alexandria Ocasio Cortez's anti-oligarchy run she is doing at the moment.

As an outsider looking at American politics, Harris and the DNC just isn't willing to actually get to the bones of what actually matters more for Americans. Harris' election promises aren't appealing in the face of growing inequality as people can't afford medical bills, student loans, and are living pay check to pay check. The DNC and its centrist/blue MAGA supporters still read 2000s pre-recession surveys when Medicare for all, affordable housing and abolition of student fees and debts were unpopular. Fact of the matter is, those policies are now accepted and popular for years as the middle class has shrunk by the years since the 2009 recession. The DNC and its supporters simply deliberately ignore it.

  • Could you withold from being taxed from your lottery win until you get a lawyer to put all that money into a tax haven, and then pay the tax in pennies? I mean, if billionaires could get away with stashing their money into offshore and tax havens and pay pennies in taxes, why couldn't this instant billionaire do the same?

  • Only because US abandoning Ukraine means the US can turn its attention to China, which China obviously don't like. This is a point made by political analyst, William Spaniel, as to why China and Russia are not friends. And Putin could be convincing Trump to turn his attention to China for said reasons. Moreover, China's pov on the crumbling free trade will be detrimental to the country that is still reliant on many imports of raw materials, and exports of their finished goods. It is ironic that China today is being 20th century United States; in which the foreign policy is based continued international trade.

  • Commenter said that white people are closeted racists.

As a left leaning poc, I see these stupid comments that only white people are racists; men are all mysoginists; cisgenders are hateful, etc. Instead of actually building bridges, these morons engage in the same hateful rhetoric that bigoted individuals from traditionally privileged groups do. You don't fight fire with fire. No wonder we are seeing right wing counter culture.

  • No, mainland China isn't going into democracy. The court ruling is only relating to Hong Kong because they have a separate system from mainland China. "One country, two system" is the slogan before HK is returned to China.
