Walking into The Container Store always makes me feel good about my glass jar collection when I see them charge like $8 to $10 for a single glass jar. Their “luxury acrylic” jars are about half the cost of that… I know that the store only exists to separate rich people from their money.
Titanic is not a good film, but the best part about the film was that my mom assumed since it was rated PG-13, it would be ok for me to watch at 10 years old. She was shocked and upset when I got to see some 70mm film boobies!
Bob Clark’s schtick is nostalgia and I think as we get further and further away from its original release date, the more this movie will be forgotten. This movie is straight up Boomer generation kid nostalgia.
I still think that the film presentation as a nice collection of memories with a narrator reminiscing works well but I can also see how younger generations have a hard time understanding why this movie is so popular.
PLEASE check your voter registration in TEXAS! If you moved in the past couple of years and changed counties, you REALLY need to check. If someone moves from Dallas to Plano, that’s a completely different county and you need to make sure you are registered in the RIGHT county! Hell, some of these cities are so massive that they span MULTIPLE counties! Like if you moved from East Frisco to West Frisco. Same city, different county (Collin to Denton). Or if you moved from East Dallas to North Dallas, you may have changed counties too (Dallas to Collin)!!
Sony (Columbia / Screen Gems) has several legit YouTube channels and uploads old TV episodes and movies. Some of their channels are Throwback TV, Classic Rewind TV, Stream City and many others.
In the US, Zevia recently came out with Vanilla Cola and it tastes really awesome to me. It has a bigger vanilla flavor punch than anything Coca-Cola did. I know most people are picky when it comes to sodas especially something that’s flavored with stevia instead of sugar. If you can get over the stevia bit, it’s worth trying. Much better tasting than Vanilla Coke Zero.
Kenny Chou! He also composed Zone 66 which is another awesome DOS game soundtrack.
