  • Here's what I do and it works really really well. Gives perfect coffee every time, but your milage may vary so don't be afraid to experiment.

Grind to filter coffe size or maybe a bit finer. Don't go to espresso level or it'll just clog the brewer and burn the coffee. It is generally not super sensitive to grind size so don't worry too much. If in doubt go corser.

Always, always weigh the coffe! I found that they are actually quite sensitive to the amount of coffe you put in. Ever since a started weighing the beans I've never had any issues with it. If you cannot get a nice consistent flow through the entire brew and it begins to sputter too early you most likely filled it too much. Rather than fiddle with the grind size, you should instead fill it a little less next time. I use 12-13g for the 2 cup, and 28-30g for the 6 cup version. If I go outside that range it won't brew nicely. It's that sensitive.

Finally use hot water. This first of speed up the brew but also makes it easier to control the pressure inside. So pour hot/freshly boiled water in, assemble, and put on a low to medium heat. When the coffee starts to come through turn it down to low heat to get a nice, slow and consistent flow. For the 2 cup version it's about 15-30 seconds and for the big 6 cup version it's about 40-90 seconds. I can't remember exactly so don't worry too much as long as it's consistent and nice and slow.

Stir and pour the coffee immediately. Otherwise it'll slowly burn and turn bitter in the hot brewer.

With this method i always get amazing coffee out of this little machine and i low it so much.

    I hope this was helpful.

Edit: I see from other comments that you use a blade grinder. This is fine, and I've used one for years when I was a student and it worked just fine as well. You can grind pretty fine with that for the mokka pot, but again, if on doubt go corser. More importantly is to avoid clumps. Blade grinders tends to make clumps so try to stir them out a bit with a needle/scewer or a very thin fork. Clumps cause channeling and easily makes it sputter and all the water goes through too fast since it cannot build the pressure needed to make a consistent flow. On the other hand if it sputters and goes really slow then it's clogged instead.

  • I think I can say on behalf of all of us Nordic countries that we will rather live without Tesla and Elon than let this lunatic win. We really care that much about our model and care so little about Tesla.

  • To me it's also about integrity. Know when to stop and when to take a break. Sometimes it's good to stop while things are good instead of him keep pushing himself to produce untill something bad happens like worse quality. Scandalous YouTube drama arises or what ever else he's in risk of ending up on. I'd rather keep remembering Tom as a really good person and YouTuber withe excellent content than a Tom who lost to the system. Also he might have a comeback with something else, something new and innovative that we couldn't even imagine.

  • That could be one of the good reasons it worked so well for me. No chance of distractions from phone, TV, birds, houses people, sounds etc. Just the rhythm of the water and straight forward task. Also I'm thinking that it almost requires more brain effort to stop because of the whole changing clothes and shower process so to avoid that task i just stay in the water a bit longer. And the heat from the sauna is good at "melting my brain" so my thoughts get calmed down a bit and feels rewarding.

  • I did swimming for a few years when I was living close to a big swim hall and passed right by it on my way home from work. It does require a bit of motivation to start, but for me when I first got into the water it felt natural to just keep moving. Swam for 30~40 min and then going to sauna for 15 min and a nice hot shower afterwards was such a reward for my brain it always felt worth it. Now I moved and is sad I don't live close to one. Also as got super tired afterwards but in a nice way. Felt good. I wasn't medicated back then let alone knowing anything about ADHD so in hindsight, with medication I might have better odds of feeling even better after a good swim.

  • 10 hole minutes! No reason to brag about it :D

I'm happy if I just get to read my emails from my work phone from the couch on my "work" from home days. Luckily I just started on medication so hopefully It'll change.

  • There are stil legitimate reasons for those size vehicles to be on the road so I think it's still good to have safety for all sizes, but I see what you mean about spiraling out of control easily.

  • Is it really 1st of April already

  • Did you read what i wrote? i said "take inspiration from" not "should copy 1:1 also i work i pharma so yes i have a good take on this.

  • The amounts is absolutely minimal and mostly "harmles" even if accidents were to happen. To my knowledge they don't contain actual liquid mercury but only the vapours. If you break them by accident just ventilate the room well and you'll be fine. Not to say it's healthy, mercury is a serious matter and should be disposed of correctly. But no reason to be overly concerned if you break one by accident.

  • Why does developers managers think we want this!? It's awful and distracting.

  • Algae just have a pretty strong flavor and might be off-putting for some so for it to take off i would love to have different flavours and species to pick from. Would be interning. So far I've only tried spirulina which has a quite strong taste in my smoothies and is deafening the taste of almost everything else.

  • I guess the production could take inspiration from the pharma industry and use strict increasingly clean zones and sterile environments the closer you get to the core production. After sterilising everything and sigeling out the alge you want you should in theory be able to run more or less indefinitely. And if a contamination of found it just a matter of sterilizing everything with steam and reboot the system.

  • Welcome. I hope you'll have a great time here

  • This is mandatory to be posted every year for Christmas. Always makes me smile and sing along

  • Devices exist for vibration sensing. They are often used for intrusion detection to put on doors and windows but can just as well be used on a washing machine. I have not tried any of them so can't talk about how well the quality is on them. Otherwise if you are comfortable using esp home it sound be really easy to build something with almost any cheap accelerometer.

  • Home assistant is gonna be your friend. Get a power sensor or vibration sensor and set up an automation to detect when the machine is running and then when done it'll remind you (as often as you need) until you dismiss the reminder or click a button or whatever you need.

  • Antennapod is what I use now. Works just as well as Google podcasts.

  • Google is making easier and easier for me to degoogle my life. Bit by bit I change to foss apps and never look back

  • Good. That'll be the day I finally update to windows 11 Linux
