  • It is the fault of the illegal migrants coming in from the channel. The vibrations from the boats are destroying our schools.

  • The Conservatives inherited just under £10bn a year in education capital sending in 2010, and have spent £5-6bn a year since then, in real terms. Part of those savings came from scrapping the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project in 2010, which aimed to rebuild and refurbish every secondary school in England.

I fail to understand how this was a negative to the Tories. They inherited a system that was funded at a higher rate than anytime in the past, and they turned that well funded enterprise into a fiasco. The phrase "Couldn't organise a P*** up in a brewery" comes to mind.

  • They want to take that land, water and resources away from people of what they see as the wrong religion.

  • Listen to the podcast I linked. This is the opinion from a Jew from the country Israel. He specifically states it is about religion, and how there are parts of the Jewish religion see themselves above all others. This is being done in such an abhorrent way that parts of the Israeli army are striking and refusing to serve.

What credible sources do you have to state otherwise. A randomer commenting on something they disagree with just does not cut it for me.

  • You are not allowed to say things like that without being accused of being antisemitic. What Israel is doing in Palestine is worse than what happened in South Africa. SA had to concede due to global condemnation, and yet we see Israel committing apartheid crimes without anyone batting an eyelid in defence of the people there. The world is very quick to condemn extremist groups within the Muslim religion.

If you have not listened to it already I highly recommend listening to the Yuval Noah Harari interview on the rest is politics. This not only reminds you that not all of the Jews in Israel have this genocidal attitude, but also helps you understand what it is that the country of Israel is up against.

  • You get more crossings when the weather is good. Sunak keeps trying to take credit for the boat crossing going down. The reality is that the weather is the biggest factor.

  • All well and good, but that still does not make a Macbook value for money.

  • That is if it was the mushroom that killed him. It took 22 days for Litvinenko to succumb to the poisoning given to him. If it is state sanctioned murder, then it shows those around Putin are hitting levels of gross stupidity. The brain drain from Russia is at a very high rate since Perestroika and Gorbachev.

  • There is a lot of cooperation between the UK's Tory party and the Republicans through a group called the national conservative group. There is also a lot of similarities with the stunts being pulled by the Republicans and the Tories with gerrymandering and general corruption of the process in government.

There has been some very credible links with the Tory party and Russian influence. We have a Russian in the Lords. Johnson performed some actions that were incredibly poorly judged. The Tories fought tooth and nail to stop sanctions being applied to certain Russian oligarchs that had money in the UK. Johnson's government stopped the electoral commission from investigating Russian influence with the Brexit referendum. He then went further by pulling the electoral commission directly under government control.

There is now a bad smell about both the Republicans and our Conservatives when it comes to Russian influence. Don't let Trump slide, make him pay for what he has done, and if that proves to have Russian influence then take everything from him. His kids should not benefit from this.

  • 10 per year in 100,000 is a 1 in 10,000 or 0.01% chance. That is ridiculously low and looks very suspect with the timing doesn't it?

  • How many of those die due to eating the mushrooms?

  • Culture wars, culture wars, culture wars, culture wars, culture wars, culture wars, culture wars. Sorry, its an add on I have when Tory BS gets pushed about.

The Reason kids are poorer now is because you are not getting paid enough. This is something that has developed in the last 13 years. Mean wages were rising until the Tories got in. Join a union, and make sure you vote at the next election to get these scumbags out.

As for the NHS cost we pay less than a fair few comparable countries and get a very bad deal for what we do pay. A lot of the NHS treatment is privatised now, so ofc it is costing a lot more while getting less in return. It would be cheaper if we did the job with the people we trained up ourselves. Strangely this does not happen anymore. The Tories have placed a lot of private healthcare providers on the boards for budgets in hospitals around the country. It is like letting the fox babysit the chickens.

The issue is the state pension was raided in the 1980’s to allow for reduced taxes and so now an increasingly large chunk of the national budget goes on state pensions.

Where are you getting this from?

If you factor in the majority of the NHS budget goes on geriatric care or elder social care you end up with more than 50% of the annual budget is to support the elderly.

You need to show some proof of this BS. It simply is not true.

  • Precisely this, you can't fix it, if you do not make an effort.

  • Any product that wants to extend its reach this far does not have your interest in mind. It is only about making more money.

  • You only have to look at how the first amendment is abused in the US to understand just how bad free speech without consequence is.

Yuval Noah Harari did a session with the rest is politics podcast. He brought up a concept that was total alien to me beforehand. In the past fake news has sought to shock people into taking notice. With AI this will change things dramatically. Rogue states will use AI to befriend individuals, and then manipulate the thought process by gentle integration. I found this an immensely scary prospect to dwell on. People rarely think about the person on the other end of a conversation being something other than what they portray. The concept is very credible.

To me, this is one of the reasons why we must police activity online. But it must be done without government interference. Ideally an international effort should be made. An international fact authentication group would go along way also.

    Edited for better clarity.

  • The VIP of comments.

No one in the West wants to touch anything that benefits Russia atm, because to do so is self-defeating. This is not a result of choice, but of necessity. The EU are also making large strides towards NZ now. The individual countries will stop buying this gas at the earliest opportunity. Individual countries being pertinent as each country is responsible for their own energy supply.

  • Yeah I agree. In the UK it would come directly under false advertising. I have no idea how the laws in the US are applied.

  • Hate to burst your bubble but that is wrong to say it is all CGI. Adverts where someone is actually getting in an out of a car are cheaper just to shoot. They may use a green screen for costs, but that is a loose to say that is CGI.

There is the issue of using an actor's face in an AI shoot. There are only a few actors who have signed up to that. The rest are in dispute regarding using their images without their consent.

There are certainly some adverts where 100% CGI is used. The first advert I saw where it was 100% CGI would be around 2008. That advert was never released to the public.
