  • This is my wife in a nutshell after Reddit died.

  • The city of Austin, TX voted for a civilian oversight board to be created. Due to various lawsuits and whatnot, it still has yet to come into existence. All because the cops want to literally get away with murder.

  • In the very least, we should be ensuring that any animal bred for consumption should be given the absolute best life possible, not crammed into spaces like sardines and forced to exist in their own shit all their lives.

  • Poor people can’t afford lawyers to fight this kind of thing in court.

  • I do?! Since when?

  • I’m smack dab in the middle of Texas. My plan is to keep my head down.

  • No to the soap, but the little battery powered bidet I have is awesome. Comes in really handy… everywhere that isn’t home.

  • You do know portable bidets exist, right?

  • Not an acronym though, but an initialism. Acronyms are said like a word, like CRISPR, initialisms aren’t, like ATM.

  • Almost like they didn’t actually read the book. Nothing made me an atheist faster than taking the time to read the Bible.

  • Probably because they were all cheap crap and not made up to the standards of the device they connected to.

  • Now show me how much larger the average vehicle got during that time as well.

  • It’s less about personal opinions and more how the government functions. Texas is a straight up hostile place to be if you’re anything but rich, male, straight, and white.

  • Abbot’s entire time as Governor has been a failure of governance.

  • Good. Arizona already got shot down trying similar stuff by the Supreme Court, so it makes sense that Governor Hot Wheels and his Cavalcade of Corruption would get the same treatment.

  • It’ll mean folks working or living at a lot of places won’t have a place to park, and without further investment into rail, bus, and bike infrastructure it means that a lot of folks simply won’t be able to work or live where they need to.

On paper, this means denser development all around. But living in most of these places requires owning a vehicle. That means you gotta have somewhere to put it. Otherwise, you’ve gotta provide alternate means for folks to get to where they need to go. Expanded bus service, more light rail, and better and more bike trails are essential.

  • It’s not that bad, Jesus.
