It’s your word that their word is to be trusted, or even exists at all. No better than ‘Hey, I know a guy!’
I’m just saying that all of the evidence, or lack thereof, that I’ve ever seen doesn’t amount to a plane crashing into the building in my opinion, which is every bit as valuable as your word.
I would hope so. I can’t imagine anyone agrees to be VP without understanding that they may have to take up the mantle of President without much notice.
Being that I live in Texas, it’s been really tough for me to worry about anything but over here. But you’re right, we’re certainly not the only place dealing with this kind of shit. Apologies.
I doubt it’ll work out how he, or half of his supporters, think it will. Instead of legions of brown immigrants working the fields and being happy they make any money at all despite the grueling labor, it’ll be a much smaller number of white people all complaining (and rightfully so) about how hard the job is and how they should all be treated and paid better than they are.
The work’ll get done slower, there’ll be supply problems, prices will go up for everything across the board. Least of which because all the companies mistreating their workers will now be exposed for doing so, but they won’t care and start overcharging anyway. It’s almost like it’s been happening the last few years or something.
Look, if our species was somehow struggling with birth rates and was on the verge of extinction, I might agree… but taking away someone’s bodily autonomy? No, that’s a step taken way too far over the line.
Christ, what the fuck is wrong with the world? Didn’t we solve this in WWII? Didn’t the world kinda collectively discover that being a fascist, Nazi dickbag isn’t the way to go? What happened?
