To finish in flames: judging by the rejection of Southern culture, there is a limit of what northern culture can accept comfortably. If they cannot accept southern people the way they are, how can they claim to be better in acceptance?

Former threads on this mention that you can be yourself in private. Everything is acceptable by hiding it behind a facade. You don't become like them, you put up a facade. It's a different culture, but it doesn't reject who you are.
