  • Yeah, I get that. For a domestic flight, a loooot of these complications just go away. That said, could still be extremely expensive. Likely significantly more expensive than taking a scenic multiple day drive that your dog will absolutely love hopping out in strange places and peeing to claim it as no dog has before!

  • First of all, yes it's a hentai game. You can believe it's for my girlfriend or not.

    😏

No judgement bud. Nothing to add but a bit of cheekyness.

  • Wait til you learn about Gerrymandering. I'll not get into it in depth, but essentially the local/state government in the US will set up voting regions to guarantee that one party has a massive advantage.

  • To discourage people from voting. As was pointed out elsewhere, the Republicans only really flourish when a small number of people vote. So they make it as inconvenient as possible for people who are lower income, usually people of colour.

  • Keep in mind the US has the highest incarceration rate in the world, with 2 million prisoners as of 2021(latest figure I found in a brief search).

  • Like I replied to someone else FL has been "running well in wine" for ages now. I've just never managed to get it functioning at all, like I wasn't having audio issues or anything...because the one click wouldn't work for me, and manually setting it never worked for me either. It's been about 2 years now since I tried, and this recall bullshit means that if I can't get it running I'll just switch to something else and change my workflow.

  • FL studio has "worked well in wine" for ages now, I've never managed to get it properly functioning. Like I said, I'll give it another try, not willing to have recall running on my machines.

  • I've been using Fruityloops for over 20 years. I've tried loads of stuff, but my workflow is pretty stuck in the FL ecosystem. I haven't tried Ardour yet, definitely willing to give it a go, but when I'm in the mood to punch something out really quick, I already know all the keybinds, how things interact etc etc. I've started using Sunvox a bit. It's a modular synth/tracker runs one everything shy of an actual potato....I think doom is the only thing I know about that runs on more systems than Sunvox. But it's painful when I want to just diddle something quick that's stuck in my head.

  • Fuuuuuck....well....my laptop was my last windows device. It came with 11 installed, and the only reason I keep using 11 is because I have had no success in running my DAW in wine. Guess it's time to give it a go again....

  • Ok, tell me how many people who would be using Linux, that might have issues looking up things, that wouldn't default to Google. There's a significant portion of the population that thinks Google is the only search engine.

  • Oh, no totally, there's people asking questions that Google used to be able to answer. Google is now a burning tire fire, and getting a useable answer from it can now be a full time job...is what I'm saying.

  • Or at least some kind of horrible cancer. Normally I wouldn't wish that kinda thing on anyone, but considering how much of a cancer on society he is, I feel he's earned it. Maybe he'll pull a Steve Jobs and figure he knows better than his drs and leave it too long to be treatable.

  • It's quite common with people who are incredibly successful, they figure:
"Hell, I'm successful in xyz, I must be really smart at everything. Everyone should listen to what I have to say about everything because I made it, and that means I clearly know better than everyone else!"

  • Exactly! There's no reason to be that way, other than to feel superior to someone. And that's just kinda a shit way to be!

  • It's fucked up, but you could try the Mormons. They do this thing, retroactive conversion, so someone becomes Mormon, and they go back and make all that person's ancestors "Mormon". So they have incredibly good ancestry records. Just a thought.

  • that could have been solved with a google search

This is very quickly becoming untrue. Actually, I'd argue that it's been somewhat not the case for some situations, that I've personally encountered, for over a decade. There's times when I search forums for days, finally find someone who's experiencing the exact same issue as me. The post is marked solved! Fuck yeah!
    The post:

OP: Hey guys, I'm trying to fix xyz and I'm not able to find anything on it. Could I get some help?

    Two months after initial post:

Only reply is OP: Nevermind guys, I figured it out.

    Me: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!
