This isn't intended to be antagonistic, even though I know it seems that way in text, but do you have any links to examples of tankies defending nazis? I'm just curious to see it.
If anything, on hexbear as an example, I see them claiming most everyone they don't like is/is friends with nazis. They seem to use hatred of nazis as an excuse for supporting some really fucked up shit.
These threads are odd to me, considering how many people call all communists tankies. The word seems to be used by anarchists, conservatives, communists, anti-communists, and more, and every person has a slightly different definition.
Half the people here could consider the other half to be the tankies everyone is mad at.
To be clear this isn't me saying "be nice to the tankies" this is me saying "the overuse of this word is confusing the shit out of me."
I just try to find all the information I can from all sources of all types, and then stress about my complete inability to be sure what is even true, considering how much of it is contradictory. The only thing I'm certain I learned is that neither side of this wants to tell the truth all the time, and new news will often change over the course of a week or so as people get caught in lies.
I tried it. Only got a short conversation for free. Wasn't super compelling, seemed closer to those AI girlfriend apps than anything else, and I have absolutely no interest in that.
Neat concept, I hope to see a version that doesn't worry about visuals or stuff like that.
Personally, I find that when I feel that way, it's because I'm actually just kinda tired of games in general. The huge variety available will often trick me into a headspace of "I'm not bored of games just certain games, I need to find the ones I'm in the mood for" but really what I need is a break. Do some crafts/art, get extra exercise, socialize with people that don't normally game, read a book, visit family. Just shake up the shedule for a bit and do other stuff with your free time, and in my experience, you'll want to play something, instead of just looking for something good enough to fill boredom.
It's not just about money, it's also about approval raitings. Out of control and bizarre as it all feels, the individual politicians involved have to continually keep their supporters scared and seeking violent action (and therefore voting for them) or else a sane person might get elected and stop shoveling money into the war-engine.
How does a TOS work with federation??? I have no intention of breaking rules to be clear, and I assume if I did I would just get banned? I'm just curious what the legal implications are.
I can see and interact with content on lemmy.world without ever visiting it, which feels like a grey area on the "accessing or using" part right at the beginning of the TOS. Maybe include a definition for what "accessing" is and can include in the context of the fediverse?
People keep saying this but I guess I'm on the lucky slow end of the rollout because I haven't had my adblock stop working yet.
But they've done this before, it's just a cycle. If I have to, I'll start using a new adblocker, or entirely diffent way to access the videos, once an option becomes available shortly, inevitably. No reason to worry about this long term IMO.
We could just say a different word to distinguish them, like UI for uploaded intelligence, or anything really. Having a different word for each seems more productive than debate about which is the more accurate use.
I scrolled and scrolled where you recommended, couldn't find proof, of any kind. I'm willing to assume I was just looking in the wrong place, but only if you actually link what you are talking about.
Just put a big warning around the link so people don't click on it unintentionally, there is no reason to be squeamish about the literal link itself.
I think the claim is bs and unless you can post a link your claim of evidence is bs too
Every time this happens the CEO walks away incredibly wealthy for their actions and they are replaced by someone who wants to do all the stupid terrible shit faster and harder. I don't consider this good news.
