  • My little brother dealt with that on his SSI and it is total bullshit. He couldn't work past like 15 or 20 hours a week or they'd take all of his benefits away. They need to either make them tail off slowly or move that cliff back to like $200k/yr.

  • To be fair, it's the only Zelda I never beat because of the Water Temple. I did the keys in the wrong order and apparently it's solvable but after a week of trying 14-year-old me gave up and gave the game away.

  • Probably meant we know that it happens and approximately how it happens, but the publicly communicated version is just vague enough to sound like hand-waving.

  • I'm a chili head and find the sweet spot between 200-500k scoville when you go much higher, it's basically just to see if you can do it.

  • I think what bothered most men wasn't that he was large, but that a woman would feel safer with any gay man that was with them.

  • This might sound twisted, but something that helped me take more time to myself was when a guy who was "the only one who could answer certain questions" with something like 30 years of experience in our field dropped dead of a heart attack at home. We figured out what we needed to figure out soon enough and his position wasn't filled for a year because five or six of us took up the tasks he was in charge of... My point being, no one is irreplaceable. Disconnect when you're not at work.

  • I know LDS members in my family think they traced their lineage from present day all the way to Adam and Eve, so whatever you put, wasn't nearly as outlandish as you think, lol.

  • I have a base 10% tip as an American and that's the floor. It's really hard to not tip in countries that it's not expected, like I have a physical urge to tip my waiter or bartender. But sometimes I have an amazing time and tip 50, 100, or 200% on a bill and when I do, I turn it upside down and run like hell before they see it.

$100 or $500 isn't a lot of money to me, but I don't want anyone to thank me for my tip, it's just a way to say "thank you."
