Second semester starts in a week so I’m super excited but I’m also anxious as my student aid is taking its sweet time. I swear to god, anything to do with finances and government makes me want to shrivel up and die lol

I didn’t know Russia and China were considered colonized…

That’s sort of what I figured, especially with the long string of Chinese at the end with only “Winnie the Pooh” at the end of it. I don’t speak a lick of Chinese, I can’t read it either but I assumed that these weren’t all direct translations.

I have the same question. You’d think the majority of edits would come from Russia when the content is about Russia. Then again it may be because of conflicts between the west and Russia, considering Wikipedia is at least western leaning.

Cue the “Putin Killed Prigozjin” articles and tweets. Maybe John Oliver will chime in too.

I’m assuming we have answers to all those events listed. Also, what’s with the mixture of Chinese and English? Are they each separate events or are they in the original Chinese first and then translated, because I never understood why it’s formatted like that.

It’s unfortunate people still buy into the whole “fighting for your freedom” thing.

So you see, as someone with a heart and soul I view using the military for purposes such as securing minerals and raw materials as a huge waste and downright stupid. Wouldn’t diplomats and form of “Soft Power” be better suited for this area?

When it comes to what military bases are used for in other parts of the world, specifically for preparing war against China and escalations with Russia, I have no real alternative except maybe just don’t do that. Take your troops back home and leave everyone alone. It’s naive and maybe juvenile but so is putting basses around the world to provoke violence.

I don’t understand why there are foreign military bases in other countries. Do they serve a purpose other than imperialism? Do they act like embassies for visitors? It just seems very odd to me.

Does this imply trans people are terrorists?

Every time I get the monthly bill in the mail my soul rots even more. It’s just constant anxiety on whether I can afford this month or not.

Based on my utility bills most of the cost is from “service fees.” I don’t know what service they’re providing that warrants charging us up the ass but, yeah, it’s service fees.
