Right? To not get any news, even by accident, is wild. I know I’m in a position that sees it more, and it does rake some setup(an app or two with notifications does a lot of the heavy lifting) but I mean come on.
Why do you think that Europeans are as stupid as North Americans? Sure, here in Canada and the US we love to switch to worse options because “change” but generally the EU is much better about that kind of thing. They’ll strengthen their own militaries and continue working together as they have been.
Also Russia? Really? The ones actually attacking European countries instead of just threatening? Really?
I’m 100% certain that the “you” is directed at the republican voters. If you were one of them, then maybe the whole “Musk is going to be in charge of a new department and do all this crazy shit” somehow slipped by you, but it was definitely said very loudly.
One comment I remember from right before the election was a person saying how their cashier said “well, anybody but Biden right?” and they were like “Biden…Biden isn’t running.”
I don’t get it. I do not understand how people could be so blind to politics that they wouldn’t even know who’s running, but then I talk to real people and it’s like “oh.”
Here in Canada we don’t even really bother with parallel parking anymore. There is also zilch when it comes to training related to driving in snowy and icy conditions. You have to figure that out on your own, so long as you don’t get a stunt driving ticket.
The bar is so, so low and people still manage to limbo their way under it with astonishing regularity.

Fun fact I learned just now is that termites and ants first come together at “insecta” but are otherwise entirely different. Also I was checking because I knew that ants are basically wasps and wanted to see about termites, so that’s also a cool fact.
Oh I should be clear that this person is absolutely a problem. They’re far less effective at their job, don’t learn for long after the question is asked, and the value they bring to the team is, in some ways, less than a fairly young person. And yet they’re paid more because “experience”.
I have the same thing in my field(architecture and structural engineering firms) as a technologist. People who refuse to learn new skills with the software constantly hold back people willing to put in the effort.
My friend works as a Unix admin and his older coworker, who is paid way more than he is, is essentially useless and always slowing everyone down. Constantly asking basic questions and getting stuck on simple things for a whole day when he doesn’t ask.
Same with driving. I don’t care how long you’ve been doing it if you haven’t put any serious effort into learning and improving after passing your pathetic, weak test 38 years ago.
Being willfuly ignorant and astoundingly stupid is not an excuse. If they were ok with that before then they earned it all the same. My sympathy for them is deep in the negatives.
They knew Elon was up Trump’s butt before the election and we all knew he was going to be doing exactly this. Even the conservatives knew, he literally told them.
So yea, they fucking did choose him, just not officially and he shouldn’t have this much power, and even if it was official he’s ignoring all the laws but the base doesn’t care because they are stupid wastes of the gift of life.
Once Conservatives and “centrists” stop handing power to the worst people we could probably just start reversing this global shift to the right even just with that. Progressive candidates are all over, we’re just too collectively stupid to vote for them.
That’s only because a hunk of beef is so large that many unsafe elements can’t penetrate. You trim off the outside and are left with something much safer, so long as it is consumed quickly enough. It is the same reason why you don’t need to freeze tuna, because tuna are fucking huge.
Also, be careful when grinding meat, or even cutting it, because if you end up with the shit on the outside being pushed into the cuts on the inside then none of it matters and you’re back to square fucked.
