Agreed. I don't like the CCP any more than you do but the truth is if you have long term leadership you can get some projects that would otherwise have been de-railed by opposition parties when power's transferred to them.
Shit on China all you want. I know I do. The truth is though the CCP's already sending tons of rovers to the moon to find prime real estate and are heavily investing in reusable rockets like SpaceX. The US is gonna be humiliated when the next humans to return to the moon are Chinese nationals. Can we beat them before that happens? Yes, but we're making all the wrong moves both through government policy and many private space endeavors. Musk's already said he's more interested in Mars for example. The Artemis project keeps suffering severe setbacks due to it being driven by politicians and not NASA.
Strangely enough there aren't that many movies that feature jets dogfighting though. That kind of makes it worth watching because I love Ace Combat and that's the closest thing I'll probably ever have to a feature film.
I'm not saying other benefits aren't there, it's just that we know a lot of regulatory agencies are being severely cut so it's gonna be less apparent soon enough. I'm in one of the higher tax brackets so aside from unemployment insurance, a lot of safety nets that require means testing are essentially inaccessible to me as well. Frankly it's a miracle American society is still functioning even with so many tax cuts for corporations and the rich.
I pay roughly 30% of my gross income in th US. The only tangible benefit I get from it is the ability to drive on free roads on my way to work to earn more taxable income. I only wish my money didn't go to subsidize the rich and make bombs to blow kids up on the other side of the planet.
Good. I never trusted those integrated apps and thought of them as spyware. Mozilla should go back to focusing on making a lean browser and whatever apps they want to offer should be optional instead of hard coded into their flagship product.
It's never enough for these assholes. Musk wants the whole world to bend to his will because he bought the government fair and square. Some uppity government employee shouldn't tell him he doesn't have the authority to install more puppets in these agencies.
