  • It requires building the structure under the greenhouse specifically to support the weight of the greenhouses themselves, plus all the plants, equipment, substrate, and water, plus workers.

Your average existing large-footprint building simply isn’t built to hold that weight - maybe a couple feet of snow - and would need to be heavily remodeled to accommodate it. It also adds a lot to the cost of building new structures, so it’s a sizable investment in either case.

Idk if you’d call that a downside, but that’s why this sort of thing isn’t everywhere.

  • Yeah, I know it’s income based. That’s why I haven’t made enough to pay it.

What I mean is there were several income-based options, and idk which one I’m on or was on, and idk if that’s still the case because I’ve chosen to do absolutely nothing with my student loans beyond what I’m specifically required to do (was hoping for forgiveness to go through but that didn’t happen). So I’ve only had to file one proof of income form, for example, even though it should have been yearly.

I knew the terms at the time, but it’s been a while so meh.

  • That’s about court and government fees and fines, not student loans. Idk if the two would be in any way related but I see nothing in the article that supports this for student loans specifically.

Do you have anything that does reference student loans?

  • I’m on an IDR plan (no idea which one at this point, no idea what’s going on with any of it because they keep throwing it into forbearance..)

I don’t make enough to pay it, so after the first year when I got set up with IDR, I haven’t paid a penny.

I graduated with like $17k in debt, and less than a decade later it’s like 30k. I have no intention of ever making another payment. No point. I’d never get through the interest anyway.

  • Maybe their therapist suggested this. You are making a lot of assumptions about this person with absolutely no information.

If most of my therapists had been told I did something like this and that it helped me they would ask about it to share as an option with other patients.

Who cares if it’s a coping mechanism? It’s a healthy coping mechanism, the same as imagining someone dressed as a clown or something. That’s all therapy gives you anyway. Healthy ways to deal with the world around you.

  • I had a banana scented body wash as a kid..

I was a dumb kid and was curious, so I tasted it.

And I gotta tell you, it tasted like banana. Not good banana, but it didn’t taste that bad like soap..

  • Idk, it sounds like that’s a pretty good (and totally non-harmful in any way) strategy to help manage an inherently stressful thing like a job interview..? Do you not get stressed by those?

I mean this strategy wouldn’t work for me because I don’t play those things but if they do, power to ‘em.

  • We have a fondu restaurant where you can get hard cheeses to dip in your cheese goo.

Idk why anyone would eat there beyond novelty tho, it’s so disgustingly expensive for the tiny bitty servings you get.

But they aren’t out of business yet, so your cheesy cheese idea isn’t a total flop :)

  • My area of wi, too.

I go to Amish dairies now, and sometimes the non-Amish side of the road cheese shops attached to smaller farms. it’s not cheaper, but it’s not a large-scale farm, at least, and the money stays more local.

Actually the piggly wiggly here in town has some of the best cheese and meat prices, despite being 2-4x more expensive for literally everything else. (Chicken legs and quarters for 0.35/lb is normal, bulk bacon which is mostly fat (great for cooking) is $0.50/lb, cheese isn’t outright cheap but less than other places). They seem to have worked out some sort of contract with a local dairy; that brand is nowhere else around.

  • You don’t have to attack anyone to aggressively shoot them down. It’s in the tone and brevity you use to communicate it, that you are completely right (even tho you supposedly want advice) and they are thus completely wrong, and their thoughts aren’t worth more than a dismissive sentence or two that boils down to how you are a special snowflake for whom all the things that work for other people simply can’t work, because reasons.

If it was insulting, you might want to think about why. Because all I did was describe how you are behaving on here.

Get therapy. Or keep doing this little dance every few weeks with the exact same results every time, even though it’ll never actually help, whatever. You do you.

  • Lawl, you won’t take anything from anyone who tried to help you more nicely, either, and I wasn’t being mean or attacking you, regardless what you might think, just being honest without sugar-coating it, cuz that clearly doesn’t get through to you. I read alllllllll your replies. I’m not assuming anything about you, I’m basing this entirely on how you present yourself on here, and I said as much in my comment.

You come on here whining up a storm and aggressively shooting down everyone who tries to help you, what do you honestly expect? To be the permanent center of the entire internet while everyone fawns over you, (oh you poor poor victim of the unfair world, you!) and offers you ways to do absolutely nothing and get what you want (which don’t exist, btw, which is why nobody has offered you any)?

Get therapy, dude. Seriously. You desperately need it.

  • If you don’t care about bonding with people, to the point that you already, without even meeting her, don’t give a shit about the person living in the body you are horny for, just hire a sex worker. It’s much easier because you don’t have to put in any effort at all to be a better version of yourself (something you are clearly desperately opposed to doing), and saves any woman having to deal with that bullshit in a relationship where she thinks you might be reclusive but otherwise reachable with a bit of patience, when in reality you are just a self-absorbed whiner actively choosing to be as miserable as possible.

No woman is ever going to want to be in a relationship with the person you are representing yourself as on here. Seriously, you sound like all the worst self-inflicted traits of people I’ve dated all rolled into one oh-poor-me parade. What a powerful turnoff. Seek professional help to fix yourself first, or you’ll just keep feeling let down and angry about something you are doing entirely to yourself, and you’ll keep blaming everyone but yourself. So it’ll just. Keep. Happening.

There’s nothing wrong with you that you can’t fix. But you have to want to. And before you say you can’t fix your looks or whatever other nonsense bullshit excuse you’ve come up with to not have to blame your own shitty self-absorbed personality that you actively choose to maintain, not everyone is as shallow as you are and only cares about the way their partner looks or sounds or whatever. The vast majority of humans are far deeper than you seem willing to give us credit for.
