  • I guess technically this doesn't break rule 2. But it is getting pretty hard to avoid Trump stuff flooding everything.

    We need to oppose him for sure, but for our own sanity we also need some spaces where he doesn't feature at all.

  • Conservative parties have always been part of liberal democracies. They could sometimes govern responsibly.

    But the Republican party under Trump is something completely different. Trump, Musk and friends are there for state capture. You cannot compare them to New Zealand's conservatives

  • If the domain could be displayed in the list view, then it would be immediately apparent why it is not loading and you can move on.

    (I'm OK with not seeing Redgif stuff, but a lot the time they don't show 'failed to load' for a while, so you think it may be some image still loading.)

  • I see you reinstalled the app. There is a possibility that your Lemmy instance was unavailable due to maintenance causing the problem. Then it became available again while you reinstalled, making it look like the reinstall fixed it.
