People whine about the same thing over and over and over, somehow acting shocked and outraged when microsoft does each month what its been doing for decades. Make their product somehow even more shitty and erode their customers experience so they can sell you the same product with a new paintjob.
Big tech sucks, they want to squeeze you dry for every nickel you ever owned, and your private information too. Its sold to anyone who wants including your government and they don't even bother storing it securely. You know this. I know this. Even the average non tech person knows this. We've all known it for a very long time now.
Don't like it? Too bad, not changing any time soon. Kind of just have to accept microsoft cuckery if its for your work. For personal use though theres always the option to switch to linux, start using open source software, and get a new email through a public acess unix server like tilde.team
But no, theres always some excuse lazy and stubborn people unwilling to compromise have, to not do any of that either. Cause that one videogame you really like doesn't work on linux cause shitty anticheat, or you think you need that one adobe product that does have open source alternatives but aren't as good as a corporate product, or your online accounts are already tied to gmail/outlook and it would be too much work to switch it all over to a new email. And dual-booting just isn't going to work for them either, for reasons. Good options exist, but most just don't want to take them up because they can't stand being inconvinenced or relearning their computer software.
So I have no more sympathy for people who willingly use windows or outlook or youtube or any corporate product and then wonder why that product continues to get worse while they charge you more money for it + a subscription now.
Sorry for the 5 paragraph essay, I guess im just tired of seeing the /technology outrage circlejerk about this weeks episode of 'corporate products are shit and getting shittier by the day'
Just wait until they start putting ads in the file menu and make you sit through a 30 second commercial every time you want to open an application unless you join windows premium + subscription only 15$ a month
Oh I just remembered! Mr.robot focuses on therapy a lot just like sopranos. The first season is its weakest and starts as a homage to hacking thrillers but after that delves Into deep psychological issues and mysteries. Very good thriller just have to get past initial hacking homage episodes
I can find it relaxing at times but I dont drive to drive more than maybe once or twice a year if that. Its bad for the environment (unless you have an all electric vehicle powered by renewable energy I can dig that) and a selfish waste of precious non renewable resources.
Being on the road is also an inherent danger as accidents happen anytime anywhere, though life is also about taking a fucking chance to do what you want risk be damned so if ypu enjoy driving its worth the risk I guess.
I'd rather get on my legs and walk around a nice forest/park than drive around but that's just me.
This also seems to have the effect of people getting less salty at being down voted, on reddit I noticed the trend of people verbally expressing salt at even a single down vote editing their whole comment to go "and to the brainlet sheeple soyjack who down voted me I'd like you to know yada yada"
Here I notice less people throwing a verbal tantrum over the idea not everyone likes their opinion. Whenever I get the occasional down vote barrage at a spicy opinion I think "ah well can't win em all, guess maybe my opinion might be a little shit" not amend my post with "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU YOU FUCKING SUBHUMAN TROGLODYTES"
IMO you are over thinking a social situation involving other peoples interpsonal relationship which you dont have much direct control over. If two human beings that aren't you decide to start up petty emotional drama that's their business. The only control you have is how much you want to involve yourself to it/be exposed to it. If one starts talking about the other to you, politely tell them you are a neutral party, would like to remain that way, and want to talk about something else. If they get salty about it then inform them in a less polite way that you aren't their personal venting machine. That you're (presumably) grown adults and not teenagers in highschool, they need to stop shit talking about other people to you. they can pay a therapist to listen to their ranting.
Is this lah lah land where I can pass any law I want locally without it being superseded by state or fed? Then
1.recreational pot is now legal with 32 plant homegrow limit
Psylocibin mushrooms are now legal and can be sold wherever alcohol, tobacco, and weed are sold including state run stores
HOAs are outlawed, you can now do whatever the fuck you like with your own properties and not pay yet another yearly fee to an at-best-incompentent-at-worst-malicious burocracy. I have to deal with enough of those already
40% I'd estimate, I tend to write very long and in depth comments and will realize either I dont care enough about the subject to finish my statement or argument point, or I'm likely being baited by someone who doesnt care about having a genuine exchange of ideas and just wants to be "right".
SCP-682's home planet. It all makes sense now! Douglas Adams canon when, writers?
