  • It wasn't attempted, it was vehicular assault and reckless driving. Not sure about the definition in AZ though. It was also excessive force when he used the vehicle to ram the trailer and when they intentionally pressed her against the hot tarmac to cause pain or injury.

They will claim qualified immunity, however, in my opinion, a claim of qualified immunity is an affirmative defense in a civil case. Meaning that the individual officer is admitting that they did something, but cannot be held personally liable for it.

  • Well my boomer parents own their homes that they bought in the 90s and have public pensions with inflation increases. They can sell their home at today's prices and buy a smaller one and leave the deal with a bunch of cash in hand and still have a paid for house.

  • I program mine to run less when we're not home. On top of that I set a "super cool" routine on weekends when it's going to be hot outside.

You see, the a/c is most efficient when it's cooler already. So in the last hour of darkness in the summer I set it to run down to 68 or so. Then it doesn't have to run as long to do that. Then it doesn't have to run again for several hours as the temperature is set back to 72.

I also clean the outside coils annually and put up a sun sail so that the outside unit is shaded all day. This has helped save a lot of money along with the thermostat programming.

  • In keeping with Nintendo naming conventions it with be the "switch u" or more likely "switcheroo" It will be a VR based system that seems like an add on peripheral for the switch, but is actually a new system that nobody buys due to confusion and lack of titles.

  • I honestly never realized how much of af my stepdad did not give until much later. As a diabetic he would wear a fanny pack with his insulin, needless, and extra sugar drop candy in case his sugars dropped. This was before pumps were a thing. He would also wear bike shorts, slip on shoes with socks, a regular white t-shirt and a flannel as an outfit with the fanny pack. Oh and also transition lenses. The thing about the bike shorts is that his legs look like an eldritch horror because diabetics don't heal very quickly when they get a scrape or cut. He also kind of looks like Dale from King of the hill.

  • I ran it for a little while, but it was too much work to set up what I ultimately wanted it to do. On top of that I don't want to have touch it after I set it up. I use a lot of dumb motion sensors instead. Not the best solution sometimes, but better than having constant downtime at the worst time.

  • The thing is, I don't have any sympathy because they've had half a century or more to consider this issue and nobody did anything. If you bought a plane knowing it requires leaded fuel, then it's your responsibility to fix it or ground it.

  • I used to work with the "king" of geocaching in our area. If a new cache went up, he was always the first to get it. I figured out it was him from comments he had made online, not from talking to him. I often thought about ways I could mess with him, like making a new cache and waiting for him.
