  • Most of my gaming time recently has been The Finals. Of all the new shooters released over the past couple of years, I feel The Finals has been the one that tried the most to be its own thing. And I think that is why its earned its own dedicated fan base. I normally try play a couple rounds a day and keep it casual.

There is also a !THE_FINALS@fedia.io community. It would be cool to see a Lemmy Finals community grow.

  • Thanks for the detailed response. It doesn’t seem like there is a perfect answer here, but it is very important that you and other admins/mods can find some sort of sustainable way to delegate and manage for the long term. We really appreciate what you have done so far

  • Surely that isn’t sustainable for you or beehaw? On the one hand, please take care to look after your own best interests. We really appreciate your work, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of your well-being.

On the other hand, if the project is based on full time volunteer work by people who can’t afford to volunteer full time over the long term, surely that is a major risk to the long term viability of the instance?

  • From the article, other birds then are also attracted to ant eating birds, as they know there will be a food source is there. Really interesting how much of an effect the ant eating birds have on the rest of the bird species

  • Nature and Gardening @beehaw.org

Some African birds follow nomadic ants to their next meal

  • Yeah. Nature can be brutal. And I think some of us are conditioned to save creatures because of all the unnatural ways humans mess with animals. But you made the right call there, and managed to get a great observation

  • Nature and Gardening @beehaw.org

The curious case of forgeries of an avian nature

  • Really interesting article! Most importantly to me, it has spurred some really good conversations.

Personally, I don’t think early web is the answer. Modern web usage has allowed for better accessibility to all ages and types. Content aggregation allows for (but doesn’t guarantee) more views and opinions. There are certainly elements we can get back from the early days, but I think we still need work to find a perfect web
