That's a bit pedantic. The term is commonly understood to be aliens, and modern usage is pretty much always aliens. UAP is used instead for the more literal meaning.

Keep in mind with adblocking we're dealing with fractions of a penny per video and Google is still making money off me regardless. I directly support creators I like, sending them $10 is an order of magnitude more money than they would get over a lifetime of me watching ads.

I don't think it's a generational thing, just preference. I'm also old enough to have grown up with potato graphics, and after the Xbox 360 era, I stopped caring about graphics much, I just like solid gameplay. Different strokes for different folks.
