Toolbar buttons should scroll to top on second tap

  • Yea! There’s a draft PR that I left sitting around waiting for some 0.19 lemmy changes and also because the feature was triggering some undesirable performance issues not related to the tab bar itself.

    Tbh it’s gotten faster just by building against iOS 17, I’m probably going to finish it up and merge it in since so many of us want this 🙈

  • Absolutely haha, ideally you’d be able to customize the behaviour.

    Hopefully this feature will be out soon :) The team is busy getting other issues closed first. Plus, I’d like to wait for an iOS 17 build to go out first. I’ve added tap to scroll to top to some views in the meantime :)

    Swipe to go forward is….another problem haha 😅 I wouldn’t hold your breathe for it (super easy to do in UIKit, but much? trickier in SwiftUI)

  • I mean the quick swipe, you could swipe without long pressing right from the watch face before watchOS 10 😢
