The Grad ate my comment. I made a nice, almost long comment, with links and all, but after I clicked "post", it just disappeared. And didn't show up after refreshing the page. Anyone have the same issue?
Look at the screeching about the majority white Russia, Belarus. Iranians and Syrians are pretty darn "white" too, but does that matter? No, it does not.
I don't recall this ever being mentioned in educational materials. I do recall my history schoolbook talking about Molotov-Ribbentrop "pact", but never anything else. Not the Spanish civil war and who supported who there, not the many agreements between European countries and Nazis, nothing. IIRC it mentioned a "joint parade" between USSR and Nazis in Poland, though
the estatunian pop are pretty much already on board in starting ww3
I would argue it's because the notion that that would be it hasn't penetrated the shell of delusion yet. War is still something that happens "out there". Just another Safari with the boys, right? I've said it before and I'll say it again - the reason yanks spend so much time wanking Pearl Harbor and Brits spend on "the Blitz", is because those events had, for the first time in centuries, brought their war back home.
We're expecting to have a few meetings on history of colonialism in our little study group. Anyone got interesting resources? Particularly interested in colonization of India, due to some disagreements with the team
Why would Mexicans care about Uyghurs? Surely the looming invasion from USA is a bigger concern?
