God yes the ads, I just hate how every corner of our existence is being filled with ads. And if it's not an official ad or "sponsored post" it's someone trying to sell stickers on their Etsy or a t shirt bot spamming all and every subreddit. I just really hope those sort of things don't invade here.
I've been a big fan of cities: skylines, but, big but here, it's kinda janky. That being said there's great mods out there for it. The biggest issue I always run into is managing traffic, but I have also gotten better at managing the stock traffic, it's kind of a fun challenge. Cities: Skylines 2 is supposed to be coming out at some point, but I don't know an exact date. I'll also say I got the game free from epic so fee is always the right price.
I think you sum up my thoughts pretty well. I stopped being facebook a long time ago when I realized I was just sitting there refreshing my feed and seeing the same things over hoping for new content. Then I moved to reddit, and honestly now that I look back on it, reddit has changed so much from when I first joined to when I left. New and original post and discussion is all but gone from there. It's all reposts, bot, and people trying to sell something. I hate to say it I kinda see some of the same shit already starting here too. Like I really wanted to come here and just interact with people and see some new things. And I don't know if it's people bots or just the cycle of the internet, but I'm already seeing the same old posts I saw on Reddit already popping up here. So all I can say is don't reddit my lemmy / fediverse. And facebook can just go ahead and fuck off. And people reposting shit from reddit, stop that now, there's no karma here.
You know I did the same thing made an account for mastodon and never really used it. But since coming over here after leaving reddit and seeing how enjoyable it was I went back to the mastodon app and I have to say now that I'm familiar with lemmy mastodon made more sense to me.
I saw that on my few last days on Reddit. I was wondering about their rates b/c I was wondering what it would cost to take out an ad calling spez a complete twat.
Oh man, if I didn't know any better I think I was back on Reddit. Good old ad disguise as a post and hide the link in the comments.
