  • I was thinking if people are still sore about the retirement thing in Paris they should do a slow down or ramp up the protests and no one works to really tell their government how they feel by putting it all on display for the world.

  • Here I found an article that sums up my thoughts, but the liberals silence and even signing on with the conservatives saying that they don't need ethics makes them complacent in the act. This is the same argument about bad cops just one bad apple, but people never finish the saying, spoils the bunch. The bunch that sits on the supreme court are a rotten to the core and if you think they're not you're deluding yourself.

  • Sorry but I think the whole of the supreme court is rotten to the core as it stands, and I think some ethics are in dire need. If you think the liberal justices aren't getting kickback, sweetheart deals, or vacations from wealthy billionaires, you're kidding yourself. They're going to push back on ethics because it might expose the true scale of the corruption in the supreme court. So you can give them a pass if you want, but the whole point of lifetime appointment was to rise above politics and currying favor, and as I see it in my life time the supreme Court has done little to improve people's lives, but corporations have benefited to a great deal. I don't think for a moment I think Congress is any better they're rotten too, but they at least have to report their gifts. Like I said the bear f****** minimum.

  • I feel the supreme court is playing a game of fuck around and find out here. Hate to say it but supreme court ethics has pretty bipartisan support. These people are entrusted to be above that kind of behavior, but it's already been shown that every member of the court has something to hide. If they're not willing to self police themselves we will police them ourselves.

  • Which is really why I feel like no one bother reading anything I wrote to be honest. It's honestly confusing. One of my main issues with the CNN article was just thin it had no substance to it to bother with reporting on. Like literally what you post it has more information than the CNN article. I think what a lot of people don't understand is this is a rural f****** place without a lot of opportunities for people that a lot of other places in the US have.

  • I'll say it like this, if a 14 to 17 year old wants a summer job fine, accept and understand that. Now here's the problem with the article it only describes it as an accident and doesn't give any information about what actually happened, so keep that in mind. If I had to guess this kid was doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing, no I don't mean that to attack the victim here. What I mean is probably a supervisor or someone told him to do something that he is literally not supposed to be doing because he's too young to do it. Like I've worked a warehouse job and we don't employ anyone under a certain age, but we had a cardboard baler and it says on explicitly no one under the age of 18 is allowed to operate. So that's what I mean, is like chances are this kid either through their own actions or through being told by a supervisor, was doing something they weren't supposed to be doing. Could have been the fall, could have been getting caught up in machinery, we just don't know. And like this is a rural Mississippi town, I've been here actually there's like a Sonic which I think would be a good summer job for kids, but there aren't a ton of opportunities. But like something like sexing chicks on a poultry line like that's a common job, checking eggs for quality that's something they do and would be a quick and easy summer job for a kid. So while we don't have the full details of this accident, and don't get me wrong it's terrible, it really is. I feel like they're being a bit sensationalist with the headline here.

People down voting this clearly haven't read what I've written here, so I'll say it here for the kind of tldr, there's a lot we don't know about this situation, let the proper authorities do there job, I really don't understand why CNN is even reporting on this tbh, but the news cycle has seemed a little slow lately.

  • Pop music. As a kid I was only about classic rock, alt rock. I hated pop the most and kind of looked down on my peers that listened to it. Now I like so many different kinds of music that at the time I didn't think was for me. Like pop music is just fun to listen to and makes you happy. I was such an angsty and pretentious teen.

  • You know honestly this is what I do in Skyrim after getting past the starting quests. What's that the graybeards want to talk to me, na I'm good, let me go do some dungeon crawling instead. Saving Skyrim can wait I'm sure.
