Meanwhile my colleague managed to get 40 days paid leave + 30 days paid vacation last year. We're in Germany. Now you say: nice for him. But not really. Someone had to do all the work he couldn't do in those 40 sick days.

Edit: to make myself clearer. He was sick on mondays or fridays usually/conveniently.

There are numerous VPNs still working great inside mainland China. I have multiple friends who I talk to over Signal which is normally blocked. It's just a matter of finding the right provider. Also hosting a VPS outside China as your own VPN can work nicely too - and doesn't come with the performance hit when using Tor.

There is a paid subscription tier of the brave search which certainly is used to partitially fund this project. Other than that. Brave also serves ads in their search results for free users. Those however are not based on your profile but are based on your current search (similar how DuckDuckGo and Startpage are handling their ads).

If you have a Mac and xcode on it you build the IPA and deploy it to your iphone thru xcode. A developer needs to be able to test their own application this xcode just uses your regular devices and let's you deploy onto them.
