  • It’s okay, most* games have good wikis that do an alright impression.

*Less so now that we have the plague that is fextralife and similar doing their damndest to elbow out useful wikis for any and every game.

  • That’s almost as bad as the geniuses that build luxury properties right next to race tracks, then petition to have the race tracks shut down for lowering property values.

Unless the bar somehow snuck up on you?

  • Yes that’s obviously exactly what I mean, not that reducing the total number of votes makes the extremist candidates that much more likely to win. Congratulations, you defeated a made up argument.

  • I hate to break it to you, but writing paragraphs on the internet isn’t “political action that actually accomplishes things”. You’re not cool for not voting, you’re complicit. However you choose to make those mental gymnastics work is up to you.

  • It always reminds me of a beautiful quote that I’m going to butcher from one of the Factorio devs. If something isn’t fun, no matter how sacred it feels to your gameplay, get rid of it.

It’s hard to think of a game that has been improved by having inventory weight caps. For most games there should be two systems: resource hoarding, and item unlocks. You find an item, it’s now unlocked gratz. You find gold? Hoover it all up.

Really the only game I can think of where it really adds depth to the game is Darkest Dungeon 1. You have so many inventory slots, and you start out with them somewhat filled with food and assorted supplies to help you go. As you progress through a level, you naturally use up some supplies, but you still eventually have to choose whether to keep the bandages or the loot. But that was clearly a deeply thought out mechanic in the game, core to the experience, not “oh well skyrim has inventory management so we should too”.

  • Holy shit you tankies are on so much copium it’s hilarious.

The dust bowl and the holodomor did not, in fact, coincide. They occured in seperate years, for separate reasons, and shockingly you seem to have excluded the drastically lower death rates of the dust bowl and the american great depression as a whole? It was terrible and caused great unnecessary suffering, but there’s no parallel to the intentional deaths of millions.

Like come on, the Bengal famine is RIGHT THERE for you to make some sort attempt at a valid argument, but you just have to go “AMERIKA BAD >:(“ every two milliseconds.

Both the Bengal Famine and the Holodomor have at least one major fact in common. You’d have to be a complete idiot to be either the British or Soviet government and not realize your response will lead to the deaths of millions. I don’t think Churchill or the brits were idiots, and as undeniably terrible as Stalin was I don’t think the inevitable death of millions of ukranians was something he could overlook either.

You mouth breathers always act so goddamn smug about the utter nonsense spewing out of your ass.

  • Oh gee if only there was a single example of communists that actually acted on some of these purported principles instead of turning authoritarian the first chance they get

No, social democracies don’t count. They are what tankies SHOULD strive for, instead of sucking off… checks notes famous beacons of liberty Russia and China.

  • As someone who will upfront admit to not having played it, my impression of friends and online personalities alike is that if you really liked fallout 4, it’s sorta like an alright reskin with some obvious changes for space.

The people aren’t all crotchety assholes like fallout, and you’re obviously in space.

Gunplay clearly isn’t the focus, the story’s acceptable but not gonna blow your socks off, so it does kinda beg the question of what exactly it’s supposed to do better than any other game. BG3 has the RPG lovers captivated, bethesda’s gunplay has never been a huge draw, and the space exploration is severely limited and not a big upgrade from skyrim dungeon style of “huge open world” of all the same crap.

  • insurance has clauses to prevent paying out

Oh man what a sick gotcha it’s not like that’s the entire purpose of a for profit insurance system.

Alternatively, the lovely thing about driving an old beater is that you have nothing to lose in situations like this.

  • Do you guys ever even hear yourselves? It’s almost impossible to mock you because it would be indistinguishable from the actual nonsense you come up with.

    Stick to the echo chamber.

  • How does this argument ever make sense to you? Do you truly consider people to be one monolithic group with no dissenting opinions? The exact same comparison was made, just as now people are saying it’s the Israeli prime ministers actions, which is actually very fair given the amount of israeli citizens showing very natural disdain for the genocide.
