Opinion pieces, the true stamp of approval.

Before bumfuck nowheres everywhere started demanding control over women’s bodies, I’d have asked why not? If you can remote work to a good paying job while living like a king in famously poorer red states, that makes sense to me. Enough people do that, we might just make it so “rural” doesn’t have to mean “uneducated hateful fox news watching mouthbreathers”

Are there really that many people up in arms about this? Fuck epic and fuck fortnite, but were there really that many steam deck users that even wanted to play it in the first place? I see no issues with epic continuing to make dumb and short sighted business decisions, so long as somebody salvages unreal if they ever crash and burn.

As a general rule as soon as you start making up words like “carnists” and trying to insert them in regular conversation, you’re probably very deep down a rabbit hole and need to strongly consider the life choices that got you there.

I absolutely hear that argument all the time though, that “our stomachs aren’t designed to eat meat so you shouldn’t”.

Personally, I have absolutely cut back on meat, especially beef, but still eat it probably twice a week. It’s a far more realistic ask than veganism, though I perhaps should’ve specified only the most deranged of vegans act like I was describing in the first place.

Also not really an option for a majority of rational people, if you live in a swing state absolutely but our political system by design gives rural states vastly more power than urban ones, and most people aren’t exactly about to move to shitfuck nowhere, missouri to try and change the political landscape there.

The earlier in the apocalypse, the more panicking humans running around, so you’re absolutely correct there. Unfortunately, depending on where you live and how early you realize what’s happening, the roads might be utterly jammed with no hope of getting away from population centers. The bike would be less of a tank, but you’ll almost certainly make it farther - but is that any good? Unless you’re confident in your ability to go full bear grylls, it might be best to just hunker down and make as little noise as possible for that initial pandemonium.

I’d probably stay clear of basically anywhere that you’d wanna go in an apocalypse for those 72 hours, because everybody else has the same idea. Find somewhere with a second story, block or preferably destroy the staircase, and stay as quiet as possible while scavenging what you can.

Don’t forget the video camera to film it, then you can pick one item of your choice to be your loot drop for finding the set piece you just made in a left4dead level.

One of my favorite facts about nature is the fact that practically nothing is vegan. Herbivores are basically constantly eating insects off of the plant matter they eat, and pretty much anything will eat eggs if they find them unguarded.

My point is that if you want to be “closer to what nature intended”, being a vegan with cheat days is probably the closest you’ll get.

For some people, those aren’t their high beams. No, that doesn’t make it any better.

Just in case you’re not aware, you can hop into camp at literally any time, you only consume supplies when taking a rest.

It’s easy to be cynical about human nature when the extreme negatives are so amplified and given so much publicity. You have to remember the vast majority of people do still possess empathy.
