Sure they are. Except people are actually shocked when I tell them I'm transgender. You have no power here. Do you want someone to talk to about your rage issue though? I'm here if you need me.
Hey pal, you suck. Can you find something better to wrap your entire identity up in? Thanks!
Those aren't Human Rights, those are Freedoms. Freedoms are often included as part of Human Rights decrees but they are usually merely subsections of Human Rights decrees and can be restricted by governments if there is just cause, but never or rarely removed outright.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights identifies a few key things like the Right to Life including protections from slavery and torture. The Freedom of Movement is one that can be restricted if you prove dangerous. The big one that most people are referring to when they mention Human Rights is all of the "constitutional liberties", here's a quote from the article I linked about that:
the so-called "constitutional liberties" and spiritual, public, and political freedoms, such as freedom of thought, opinion, expression, religion and conscience, word, peaceful association of the individual, and receiving and imparting information and ideas through any media.
The above linked declaration hasn't been ratified in every country, and it's sort of a basic boilerplate that countries may use to form their own Human Rights decrees. But again the big one that is quite universal is the constitutional liberties which are basically the freedom from discrimination and oppression.
My point being, restricting a person's Freedoms isn't necessarily the same as violating their Human Rights.
You really should read the article that Dadifer@lemmy.world posted (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradoxoftolerance#::text=The%20paradox%20of%20tolerance%20states,or%20destroyed%20by%20the%20intolerant.)
The TL;DR is that in order to create a tolerant society, ironically, the only thing that cannot be tolerated is intolerance. The paradox comes from the idea that if intolerance is tolerated and allowed to gain any kind of a foothold then the society is no longer tolerant, but if we stamp it out and nip it at the bud then that's also intolerant.
However, the paradox obviously has one preferred outcome which is that intolerance of intolerance is the only way to maintain a (mostly) tolerant society. The other option is letting the Nazis win.
Human rights should always be universal and immutable, we can't go around deciding who does or doesn't have basic human rights. Antifa has to be the better people because unfortunately we have to be the adults in the room and show the children what it means to be a decent human being. But, having your human rights respected doesn't mean that you're immune to the consequences of your actions like getting the shit kicked out of you for being a Nazi prick, or getting locked up in prison for the rest of your life.
Some accountability is better than none.
Plus, much of the "Democrats are the good guys" talk comes from the fact that the Democrats are the party at least mildly defending queer rights and immigration while the Republicans basically want to ban immigration entirely, bring back slavery, and push all the queer people back in the closet or into their own graves. The Democrats are the good guys only because the Republicans are literally an empire of pure evil and vindictiveness that only really benefits cis straight wealthy white males.
Very simplistic TLDR now every action will be timestamped and when the server processes a tick it will play out the actions it receives in order and decide if any actions should be ignored, like for example if that player should have actually died before pulling the trigger.
I always thought that's how CS:GO servers worked, but apparently not! It seems pretty obvious and a very good solution that solves all of the problems between 64 tick and 128 tick servers in the past. Valve just continues to be a pretty amazing innovator in the world of gaming, you love to see it!
I had played other horror games before it but the first one I became obsessed with was Resident Evil 4. I think I mostly just enjoy survival horror type games for the challenge, because other horror games have never really held much of an interest to me unless they have some kind of survival aspect.
What...? Did a bot take over your account or are you having an extended stroke or something? This post is non-sense and looking at your post history your last 3 posts (including this one) are also non-sense.
Of course, it's better not to waste the lumber since the trees are being cut down anyway. My point isn't that logging is good, but that there's a much bigger threat in regards to deforestation that has an attainable individual goal where we don't need to rely on greedy corporations changing their minds. There are admittedly a huge portion of people who will outright refuse to go vegetarian but any vegetarian people will make a difference. If 50% of people go vegetarian that means we'll use 1/3 less land. 25% of people means 1/6 less land, etc.
Addressing climate change requires a multi-pronged approach and every little bit helps.
Tales of Maj'Eyal is a great little game if you're an rogue-like fan! I played so many hours of that game a few years back, it's seriously great!
I realize we're just being silly here, but I think it's important to point out that it's kind of a misconception that deforestation is caused by logging. It does happen, but not as often as other causes, primarily clearing land for agricultural uses. Source
It also says in that article that if everyone ate a vegetarian diet we could reduce agricultural land use to 1/3 of current usage which would have a much bigger impact than stopping logging.
I wish I knew! I'll let you know when I find out.
God that video (and the follow up to it) are infuriating and disgusting that such a company can continue to exist.
I thought you were supposed to sand it down. I don't know, it's too complicated so I'm returning all of the hardware and hoping to exchange it.
Add PROTON_DUMP_DEBUG_COMMANDS=1 %command%
to the Launch Options in the Properties menu of the game. Launch the game once and then check in /tmp/proton_(your username)
. There should be bash scripts for running the game in there. Close the game in Steam and launch the game using the ./run
command and see what errors come up.
I'm not sure if it qualifies exactly as what you're describing, but Metal Gear Solid 2 had a moment where they subvert the game over screen. At some point in the fight a game over screen comes up but it's full of typos like "fission mailed" instead of "mission failed" and there's a small window in the top-left where the fight is still on-going.
Also, notably, all the soulsbourne games kind of subvert the player's death by making it basically required to continue most of the time.
I believe Discord is quite prolific for surveillance and data mining, but that's just what I've heard. Tumblr, I'm not sure how they could really spy on you unless you're using an app. If you're using it exclusively through a web browser, as long as you have privacy browser extensions and/or are using a browser that enables privacy features by default then you're probably pretty safe.
It really seems to make a difference what time of year it is. End of the summer they're just waiting to die and do not give a single fuck and will sting you for no reason sometimes.
You need someone to talk to? Seems like you're going through some stuff right now. Being so obsessed with something unrelated to you isn't healthy, or is it because you're actually transgender yourself and refuse to admit it? You can talk to me if you want, this is a safe space.
