  • He's a bearded dragon with a genetic defect that caused him to be born without proper scales or spikes.

Because of that, he's a "special needs" animal, so he needs lots of extra care to keep him healthy.

I'd definitely recommend (fully scaled) bearded dragons as pets! Mine is an excellent cuddle-buddy and constantly makes me smile with his dumb goofy antics and curiosity.

  • I think I'd buy some bugs for my lizard. Maybe some hornworms? They're very good for hydration and basically every reptile that eats bugs goes absolutely crazy for them!

If my buddy is happy, then I'm happy, too.

Here's a picture of my ugly boy, Pączki.

  • Thank you!! I'd love to make some for myself & my kid to eat. He loves spaghetti, so eating his ice cream like this would be a blast!

    Thanks again!

  • What is it, what is it?? It looks great!

  • Please don't horrify me with such things when I'm having such a nice day.

  • Peak t-shirt slogan humor, I'm sure. Very ironic. 👍

  • I honestly don't mind it, as my kid and I also bond and joke over quoting homestarrunner & other online media.

I think it's only an issue if the kids can't "turn it off" or have no other interests or hobbies other than doing things online.

Plus, it's middle school. These kids don't really have themselves figured out yet, so constantly parroting popular memes can gain them some acceptance from their peers.

  • You're right, my apologies. Been a good while since I've cracked open the book.

Either way, good wholesome biblical tales for the whole family!

  • My kid is in middle school, and the current thing is calling out to "chat" out loud if something interesting happens.

    "Chat, is this real?"

    "Chat, did you see that?"

"Chat, do you know the answer?"

    Etc.

Some kids are already "terminally online".

  • That was the daughters of Noah. You're mixing up your Bible lore a bit.

I was wrong! My bad on that.

  • "Helping people is gay"

  • It is one of the most bittersweet things I've ever read.

Really resonates with me in a huge way. Gets me every time.

  • The author is Laura Gilpin.

  • I think about this often.

    I do not belong here.

  • Is this post about "Cobra Kai"?

I like watching it and yelling "WHAT THE FUCK ARE THE ADULTS DOING WHILE THIS IS GOING ON???" and "WATCH OUT FOR THOSE STAIRS!!!"

  • I remember being in the Stardew Vallet subr×ddit with someone talking about their guilt pirating the game because they really really enjoyed playing it but just couldn't afford the 15$ price at the moment.

Several players graciously offered to purchase & gift them the game on Steam.

    It was so lovely.

People will happily pay for good, enjoyable games they feel are worth the price.

I'd like to play that new Princess Peach game one day, but there's no fucking way I'm paying 60$ to play a game I'm not even sure I'll like.

  • Oh, no doubt.

There are obviously better more ways to get proper treatment from real licensed professionals who actually know what they're doing.

Unfortunately, those ways often require insurance, a doctor referral, or a lot of money.

  • I was actually x-rayed at the hospital after the initial accident, but they did so while I was lying down. The chiropractor x-rayed me while I was standing.

Hospital even told me that they don't catch much of the muscular-skeletal issues that may crop up in patients.

  • This has the same energy as "Why don't homeless people just buy a house?"

Plus, other countries have their own issues with their healthcare systems. I am guaranteed nothing.
