Except, the gun nuts will use this as an example of how it would have been better if everyone had a gun in this situation.

If it has a SD slot, 1TB seems like overkill. The top Steam Deck only has 512GB.

I'd buy a Switch 2 if it played first party Switch games at 2K/60fps. Specifically Pokemon, Zelda, and Xenoblade.

I think they could probably get pretty close with most people. And, I think those tax credits would get reported to the government anyway (otherwise how could they verify it). Regardless that part was more of a wish. Just sending me a bill would be a marked improvement.

The government already knows all that information about you. You give your family information to your employer which passes it on to the government. Your mortgage company (and any other financial institution for that matter) sends the government information about your loans/accounts. That's how they know you filled out your taxes correctly to begin with.

87% of people take the standard deduction. Just give people a bill (or I dunno, take out the correct amount to begin with) and allow people to contest or do an itemized deduction if they disagree.

I've been using the Cash App one and it's totally free. It was formerly Credit Karma's before TurboTax bought them and they were forced to divest the free tax program. I usually will run the same numbers through TurboTax and the results end up being the same.

Just tell me what I owe or what my refund is (or since I use a standard deduction, just take out the right amount to begin with) and allow me to contest it if I disagree.

I'm hoping there is a one time and subscription option. I'm comfortable with my finances now to afford a subscription and I would like to help the devs continue to develop and improve the app. Sync for Lemmy will probably have a smaller userbase so they might need the extra bucks.
