  • Fuck that. Playing dirty in this instance does zilch to help you. Why the fuck would you support this? How does Hunter Biden being pardoned help you or anyone else at all? Democrats are okay to play dirty when it is done defending basic rights for Americans, not for the political elite. Hunter is a grifter and he should absolutely face the consequences.

  • 100%

I'm not super shocked to see people defending this because a chunk of people will always play defense. I'm shocked to see how many are defending this. Nobody should give a shit about Hunter Biden. The attention brought onto him was certainly politically motivated but the trial itself was not. He did the crimes and he should be ready for the consequences. The guy is clearly a grifter.

I don't care if Democrats stoop to the level of Republicans when it is actually defending our rights. When it is for blatant nepotism though? Fuck that with a sharp stick.

Funnily enough, the local satire paper here ran a story right before Thanksgiving with the headline "Turkey Pardoned by President Looks an Awful Lot Like Hunter Biden" with a picture of Hunter in a turkey suit. I think I would actually be more supportive if that had actually happened.

  • We don't exactly have long term studies on vaporized nicotine's effects on the lungs. Same goes for the regulated additives. For the illicit stuff, there is no possibility of long term study because they can really put anything they want in there. If you are trying to avoid lung cancer, you likely are not choosing a decent route or you may be trading lung cancer for something that sucks equally as much.

I think the flavor ban is ridiculous but maybe stick to stuff that is at least slightly regulated until flavors are allowed again and there is regulation on it.

  • Am I the only one that thinks vaping looks trashy? It's a step up from cigarettes but that is not saying much.

It's not only the nicotine that is the problem. We have not had long term study on what happens when you vaporize the additives and breathe them in. The whole insist needs much more regulation. Targeting flavors specifically is pretty stupid though. Why target flavors there and not for alcohol? I remember only wanting mixed drinks initially because straight alcohol and cheap beer tasted disgusting.

  • Yup. A place that my wife worked at employed at least one undocumented immigrant that got picked up by CBP. Did the company gave any fines or legal issues? Nope. But the undocumented employee had to pay a few thousand in fines and was never deported.

  • Didn't even know that sororities could host parties. Where I went, sororities did not allow alcohol in them. While that might seem like a great idea, it meant they would have to go elsewhere to get sloshed which is definitely not as safe.

  • So they took their sweet ass time actually charging and convicting him and then want to drop any form of punishment? This shows lawmakers that people can indeed be above the law and it convinces voters of two things: many will see this as proof that the conviction wad politically motivated and others will see that the system is so fucked that we cannot even do basic prosecution of obvious corruption.

  • Spoonamore doesn't have shit and has admitted as much when pressed. The guy basically contests results that he does not like. He also does not know what a bullet ballot is. That term deals with ranked choice elections where someone only picks top candidates. The term he is looking for is undervoting.

I get it. When you are shown the enthusiasm at Harris' rallies and how absolutely batshit Trump is, it's pretty easy to conclude that the election must have been tampered with. But there is no evidence that it was directly tampered with. Republicans do a lot of shit to mess with votes but that is all known shit like making voting more difficult in certain areas, gerrymandering, voter roll purges, etc. They are not directly tampering with the presidential election on a mass scale nor are they competent enough to.
