Very well said. It’s such a shame to know that there is something better out there, what it looks like isn’t exactly clear, but there is a better way. The workers truly need to unite, for the benefit of us all.

We are quite similar to Reddit compared to any other social media platform. This is why the feature is a part of the app. Lemmy needs all the help it can get to drive user registration AND foster engagement. Finding similar communities from subs helps that. It is useful, so it should not be removed.

Why remove a feature that helps onboard new users from Reddit?

I obviously cannot speak for OP, but I think they are referencing how women and people of color have historically had their concerns discounted by the medical field. Women were hysterics, black and brown people did not feel pain like white men do. That kind of bologna. Things are getting better, but these sorts of problems still exist today.
