  • Problem is that as they will get bogged down, they will probably have to sacrifice Ukraine to Russia and South East Asia to China.

From a strategic point of view, this will turn out as a huge failure for the US.

  • The UK already applauded his attack. Given how Germany acted so far, i expect them to follow suit. While urging to go back to diplomacy and restraint the EU speaker also first said, Iran must not have nuclear weapons, while not saying that countries shouldn't just bomb other countries, whenever they feel like it.

  • "terrorism"

When people don't want to be slaughtered and have their resources stolen by imperial invaders it is "terrorism". When the same invaders are doing their invasions, mass murder civilians, threaten total annihilation and the like, it is "security" or "bringing democracy"...

  • Iran and its allies and proxies have to retaliate against US positions in the region. If Iran doesnt respond, they will be considered fair game for bombing whenever the US and Israel are bored. Both US and Israel just proved that diplomacy is off the table with them. Neither country speaks any language but violence.

  • We have seen how a post western regime change country in the region would look like with Iraq and Afghanistan.

Short version: it does not end well

Iran is one of the most ressource rich countries in the world with control over the most important sea for global oil and gas transport.

There is no way that a forced regime change from the outside wouldn't lead to decades of proxy wars for the resources.

Also Israel has shown its regime change vision for Syria. Break up the country and pit peoe against each other so that a contender to regional hegemony can never emerge again.

  • Bombing Iran and letting Israel dictate American foreign policy are two things with strong bipartisan support.

Hillary Clinton campaigned in 2008 on the promise to bomb Iran. Biden couldnt even bring it over himself to enforce a demand for Israel to no starve Gaza to death and let Netanyahu humiliate him in public multiple times. And Biden/Clintons are the ultimate Democrats establishment.

  • It isn't meaningless.

It is not enough in itself and being like "well i said it, now all is done from my side" is problematic.

Still it is important to call it out as a mean to pressure those with direct power to enact consequences to do so.

Media scholar Jack Bratich has criticized the NCRI for a lack of neutrality, accusing it of being used to target domestic dissenters labelled as threats.[17] In 2021, the NCRI was criticized by Matthew Lyons of the anti-fascist project Three Way Fight for equating undesirable political views on the left and right, particularly in the wake of the George Floyd protests and for allegedly aligning with state security interests.[18]

In a public lecture on May 13, 2022, Hetz CEO Eran Teboul stated that the organization has privately raised funds for NCRI, during an event hosted by the Norwegian nonprofit Med Israel for fred (MIFF).[19]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/With_Israel_for_Peace

With Israel for Peace (Norwegian: Med Israel for fred, MIFF) is a Norwegian pro-Israel organisation. It styles itself as a "non-religious, non-partisan pro-Israel organisation", and has 14,000 registered members as of 2024.[1] A main concern of the organisation is what it sees as a negative bias towards Israel in mainstream Norwegian media coverage. The director of the organisation is Conrad Myrland, and the president is Lars Johan Nordgård.

Hasbara organizations complaining that their propaganda is met with the same counter tactics.

Why Ukrainian media is stupid to follow it is beyond me though. With the US getting dragged into the Middle East and Governments like Germany doubling down on their blind support for Israel, Ukraine will face a lot of negative consequences. First of all the military support by the Western countries will take a hit. More importantly this will lead to a huge spike in the oil and gas prices and likely soften European sanctions against Russia, pumping a lot of money into the Russian war chest and economy.

A major war in West Asia will be detrimental to Ukraine.

  • Attacking Civilians and killing yourself are haram.

Also note how they guy initially planned to target Shia muslims.

“The witness observed the user of Crazz3pain state they were willing, as reported by the Witness, to ‘kill Shia Musilms at their mosque,”

Fuck Wahhabis, Salafis and their toxic influence on Islam while being in bed with the US and other imperialists.

  • I strongly recommend you to listen to Ilan Pappe. He describes well how Israels society has deep internal rifts as the narrative of Zionism ultimately failed to build a cohesive society.

So ultimately Israel needs the eternal war for two main reasons:

    1. To keep the support by its western lapdogs up, by presenting itself as the eternal victim under war.
    2. To keep the internal pressure contained by the necessity to hold together because of war.

    See for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9rr3j7vZGo

  • Iraq wasn't an "intelligence failure". There was tampered "evidence", singular sources blown out of proportion instead of their veracity challenged and wild computer animations to drive the point home with the public.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegations_of_Iraqi_mobile_weapons_laboratories

They knew they were lying, just that today it is even more brazen. The US needed to produce images of "strength" after 9/11 so it was clear they will invade someone. They didn't invade their allies in Saudi Arabia despite most of the perpetrators being Saudi nationals. It was clear to seasoned politicians that this is a sham aimed at producing the right images and seize the opportunity to reshape the region.

  • I don't think so. People of palestine action have faced prison sentences for nonviolent crimes. And they have been active well before Russias fullscale invasion of Ukraine.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestine_Action

Palestine Action was established on 30 July 2020 when activists broke into and spray-painted the interior of Elbit Systems' UK headquarters in London.[2] The organisation's co-founders are Huda Ammori, whose father is Palestinian, and Richard Barnard, a long-term left-wing activist.

    Filton 18

An initial ten people were raided and arrested by counter-terror forces under the Terrorism Act on 19 November 2024 in relation to an August action against the Elbit Systems HQ in Bristol,[47] in addition to those previously arrested on the scene who were charged for non-terror related crimes.[48][49] In total, 18 activists were held in custody, dubbed the Filton 18.[50][51] Tom Southerden of Amnesty International said the terrorism powers were misused to circumvent normal legal protections, resulting in excessively long pre-charge detention.[52] Documents released under Freedom of Information suggest that the UK government shared contact details of counter-terrorism police and prosecutors with the Israeli embassy during the investigation into the incident.[53]

    https://palestineaction.org/prison-sentences/

Two people who took direct action to dismantle and occupy a weapons company, were sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to charges of criminal damage. A third, who had taken part in the action was acquitted at Chester Crown Court. Out of the two imprisoned, Mike Lynch White, a scientist, was sentenced to 27 months. The other, was sentenced to 16 months. Usually, approximately half of a custodial sentence is served in prison.

This would be a ridiculously ineffective way to waste operatives. Also if there was any plausible links to Russia, there is a strong reason to assume that something would have come up in the "counter-terror" investigations and heavily placated by the British and Israeli government to delegitimize the group.

If we look at actual Russian sabotage we see exploding parcels, drones around military sites, arson attacks...

Nonwithstanding, the fact that two people on an E-Scooter could break into an airforce base, damage planes there and leave undetected will surely be followed closely by Russia and is a huge security failure for the RAF. If people can drive in a fire extinguisher full of paint, Russian operatives could drive in a bunch of explosives and destroy all the planes on the tarmac.

  • Production license.

Russia got the plans how to build the drones from Iran and pays a certain license fee for every drone they build in Russia.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/05/29/russia-iran-drone-cooperation-industry/

Production of weapons under licensing deals is quite common in the arms industry, especially as it helps to circumvent national export restrictions. For instance the second most common rifle in the West Asia region (after Kalashnikov variants) is the German Heckler & Koch G3 as millions of units were produced by various countries in the region under licensing deals.

  • I don't think that for Russia an US invasion of Iran would be bad. Russia builds most of the drones themselves on a license now. As Israel is already bombing Iran, Iran won't be able to deliver a lot to Russia for quite some time.

Meanwhile if the US and its EU allies get bogged down in Iraq 2.0 for the next twenty years, Russia will be able to deal with Ukraine much easier, while China can increase its presence in South Asia. Furthermore a full blown war with Iran will likely block the strait of Hormuz, skyrocket the Oil and Gas prices and bankroll Russia as the EU will either directly come crawling back for Russian Oil and Gas or will scale down their efforts to limit sanction circumvention through India, Turkiye, Azerbaijan and others.

If the West commits to "regime change" in Iran, they will likely sacrifice Ukraine to Russia.
