  • I don't think you need AI for that.

    • First, anticipating what groceries are low: Simplest implementation would be a list where the user manually enters additions and removals.
    • Secondly searching every flier and website in the city. Okay that one will be a bit trickier. First you'd need to gather a list of all stores in the city, and then look for any deal. The big challenge here is that they don't just have a common API where you check. You either need to program a bot to scrape all their web presences, or convince them to provide the information in a common format.
    • The last step seems like it could be related to the traveling salesman problem.
  • After which Tate would go and brag that he got off thanks to his wealth. Then whoever took the bribes would be embarrassed, and possibly in trouble themselves, needing to use some of that bribe money to get out of trouble themselves. Could easily be that guy's superior wanting a cut. I'm optimistic that any official would at least try to take Tate for everything he's worth. E.g. not 5 digits, but at least 6 or 7.

  • Problem with that theory is that colonizing Mars is already out of reach, so adding another level of impossible on top of that won't do anything to dissuade those people. They'll just make a pretty CGI of some whatchamacallit cleaning the orbit.

  • In my last game, the Ilhome cluster event with those fanatic purifiers happened, and I was playing some militarist, communist space cacti. I had refugees welcome as the fanatical purifiers captured a quarter of the galaxy. Then I declared war on them and quickly overwhelmed them, since they had overextended. During the 10 years of peace after the war, I was constantly busy ordering new districts and buildings build, so much that I regularly ran out of minerals, despite buying 1000 minerals each month.

So basically, late game there's too much paperwork for the turbo setting.

  • Or at least, if you visit reddit, don't click on any ads or contribute in a meaningful way. In addition, never directly link to reddit. In a way, all your actions that affect reddit in any way should be to the detriment of reddit. It's like trying to cut down a sequoia with a sharp pebble, but even small livestock shits.

  • Well, one thing is taxes, which are payable in the local government's fiat currency, which ensures that there's always demand for the fiat currency, assuming a responsible monetary policy.
