  • I imagine anyone who was innocent and an associate had the money to hire the right lawyers to remove themselves.

Epstein was incredibly well connected, so this statement is dubious at best.

I also imagine those who should be on it, also won’t be.

This is correct. 0% of people "associated" with Epstein have any evidence against them of his crimes, or they'd have been charged as co-conspirators.

  • I guarantee you the Dems will do nothing about this issue because they lose more votes caving to that minority than they gain pursuing it.

Like what you see is "student groups in my college are protesting genocide" and what most people are is "these colleges are getting really antisemitic, and that's a problem."

Neither of those groups are correct, but one is significantly larger and more reliable as a voting bloc than the other

  • There are probably less than a dozen politicians in America that actually listen to their constituents

This is false, and is essentially just a long-running meme of Americans hating authority now being taken as fact.

All politicians overwhelmingly do what their constituents want them to do - moreso now than at any time before the modern era, because most politicians are extremely nervous about being primaried, and not worried about a challenger from another party

  • Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought sentencing was supposed to reflect the severity of the crime and make fair restitution? I

These look like punitive damages designed to dissuade others from repeating what he did.

  • I'm a huge space nerd. I did also appreciate the visuals and realistic portrayal of time dilation, and should have noted that (though it may have diluted my opinion a bit?). I just didn't like the actual movie itself.

  • I don’t like to take it too seriously.

I am a massive Star Wars fan and cannot understand people who expect it to be high cinema. It's a series about space wizards and WW2-style air battles. Like all fantasy/SF, it is occasionally commentary on real-world stuff, but it isn't trying to be Star Trek. Things are allowed to just be fun

  • We all like/dislike things for different reasons, and that’s okay

Absolutely man. I gush about notorious flop Ninja Assassin elsewhere in this thread. We like what we like and I mean no disrespect.

  • Too easy.

Ninja Assassin is one of my favorite action movies, has a sub-30% score, and I've paid to see it 4 times.

Absolutely fucking love that movie and could not believe it was such a flop. It's balls-out fun from beginning to end
