  • You’re in pretty deep denial about how important it is for Democrats to at least pay lip service to human rights and international law.

Most Democrats believe that neither human rights nor international law are being violated. Most Democrats believe Israel is.lashing out rather than having an effectively controlled military response, not that they're genocidal.

You're arguing your case to me but that's not what we're discussing. What were discussing is the election. You can see the minority quite clearly by looking at who votes for what.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/house/4355912-israel-palestine-democratic-divisions/amp/

Also keep in mind that, electorily, this will be almost entirely forgotten about by next November.

  • Are you missing the part where Biden is losing support?

The election cycle has not even begun. The war will be over and in the rear view mirror, and Biden will not be challenged on his support of Israel, meaning this is a nothingburger.

I understand you are passionate about this, but this is how election cycles work.

  • I’m not super concerned with popularity of my opinions

    Elections are literally popularity contests.

Also minor note: hanged until dead. Past tense of hang (execution) is "hanged" for some weird reason.

  • I wasn't talking down to you at all. You mixed real things and fake things to support a claim you yourself acknowledge is probably nonsense.

That is indeed a bad look, and people should be warned lest they fall into conspiratorial thinking, because it is neither healthy for the person nor an effective way of looking at the world.

Gary Webb was an American killed by Americans in government.

    This is exceedingly unlikely.

  • He totally committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. Twice.

This, but unironically. That's why his wife corroborates it.

Here's a clue to avoiding conspiracy theories: if it is something you really want to be true because it feels right, it probably isn't true and is instead spread around by other people with that same feeling.

  • Well if it's on Alex Jones it must be true. He's famously a very sober and serious reporter.

Also it's fun how you mix conspiracy theories and foreign nationals in your links, as if that somehow makes your case.

Conspiracy theories make conspiracy theorists look like idiots. You don't want to be that guy.

  • Restricting you from seeking healthcare deprives you of both.

This does not stand up to constitutional muster, is my point. The argument is that the government has a right to prevent certain things that could be healthcare, and that does hold water constitutionally.

Like, I love your energy here but this is not the way to guarantee abortion/reproductive care access

  • She actually said the exact opposite. From your link:

Palfrey's two handwritten notes were released to the public. In one of them, she wrote to her sister, "You must comprehend there was no way out, I.E. 'exit strategy,' for me other than the one I have chosen here." In another, she described her predicament as a "modern-day lynching". She said she feared that, at the end of serving her sentence, she would be "in my late 50s a broken, penniless and very much alone woman".[28][30]

    Emphasis mine.
